Global Domains International

For over thirty years I have been involved with various Network Marketing business' (starting with Amway in the 70's). Periodically I find, and join, a company that promises additional income (specifically in the health and wellness industry). The major benefit of a "home based business" (for me) is income tax deductions (plus I get my nutritionals at wholesale price). Over the last eight months I've attempted to build my Max International business on the Internet (because I was so sick I rarely left my apartment). I've commented (on my "blog") about Internet scams that touched my life. None the less, I honestly believe an individual can build a business from their computer in the privacy of their home. Recently I was introduced to another business with big promises and, fortunately, small start up cost. "Small start up cost" is an operative word with me after spending $38. for one... and $197. for another, and $2,985. for Dotless Domain.

I did my Google search regarding
this company and haven't found numerous complaints. Affiliates with the company have high praise. Yes, I signed up!! I had nothing to loose because the first seven days are free!! I can explore... and (if it isn't right for me) cancel. If I want to continue... it will only cost $10. per month. I can afford $10. a month!! (I was doing basic arithmetic the other day and it will cost me $299. to join Fortune Hi-Tech Marketing and over $100. a month thereafter. Perhaps additional fees that I'm unaware of while still on the "outside" of the FHTM business.)

If you are curious, and need another source of income, I invite you to visit
Global Domains International. An extremely long video provides all the details. I've never been a "high pressure" salesman. I didn't "sell" a $759. EcoQuest Fresh Air purifier to someone who was skeptical. I didn't "sell" Max nutritionals to someone who questioned the value of the supplements. (I didn't sell refrigerators to the Eskimos in Alaska!!) Watch the video and see if it is something you might be interested in. Let me know what you think?!?!

From the Internet...

Has anyone heard of Global Domains International? #8
Mar 6th, 2005

Hi all,

Just thought I'd let everyone know I've joined. I have recently got myself a domain name through DOT WS (GDI) and have started building my website already. My main website is a .COM but I thought I'd have a link to my .WS on it. It seems like an interesting Business Op. I do not think of it as a Pyramid Scheme as I have had plenty of experience with these little buggers in the past and I am therefore very cautious. It is a Multi-Level Marketing Business though - some are bad, some are good. It does seem to benefit both parties though! The buyer (like I originally was) benefits from paying $10 a month and gets a domain name, advice on building a website, all the tools (incl. an Online Site Builder), and a Business Op. at the same time... and the seller gets another downline. I didn't think that was too bad!? To sum up - I think it's worth giving it a go and I will keep you all up-to-date on my progress, if you find this useful. Cheers, Rick Higgers.

Drink Tea and Reduce Risk of Breast Cancer by Thirty-Seven Percent

(NaturalNews) Enjoying a cup of tea while reading this article? If so, keep right on drinking. A newly released study has found that drinking tea results in a 37% reduction in breast cancer risk for women under the age of 50, an age in which breast cancer can be particularly virulent. Another recent study has shown that tea drinking reduces risk of endometrial cancer. These results add to the pile of data showing tea is one of the healthiest beverages a person can drink. MORE: Natural News Special Report Interview

The following is a portion of the interview referenced in the Feb. 14, 2009 "blog" (pages nine and ten). It follows HERE for continuity although the dates are reversed (does that make sense?).

Mike: What's your take on the situation with drugs from Canada? The FDA insists that they're unsafe, yet some states are trying to allow their citizens to purchase drugs from across the border.

Dr. Strand: Well, it's the same drugs as we're getting here in the United States -- unless someone is being fraudulent and substituting some scam, which is totally illegal. I've had my patients go to Mexico and Canada and pick them up. I look at them, and it's the same drugs that they're getting here. The same pharmaceutical companies are making it. It's only that they can get more money from the United States than from anywhere else. How much this medication costs is really a sad situation for those people who have to take it. Generics are part of the answer, and using older drugs are part of the answer. But there has to be some kind of economic pressure put on the pharmaceutical industry to get these drugs down to a reasonable and affordable price. The prices are increasing at 17 percent per year, and they're shooting up costs. Yes, drugs cost a lot of money to develop; these companies spend over $500 million each time they want to get a new drug approved on average. They've got to recover their costs. But, again, a lot of these drugs have no advantage over what's already on the market. I quote [in my book] that, back in 1960, we had something like 800 drugs on the market. Today, we've got 8,000 to 10,000. It's out of control. We've got to realize that not every new drug around the corner is really needed.

Mike: I have one last question for you, Dr. Strand. You mentioned that you're writing a book on obesity and diabetes. Would you like to give a few hints of what people might find in that and when it might be available?

Dr. Strand: What we're finding is that the problem is insulin resistance. Here, again, the recommendation started thirty years ago. Because the problem was fat and cholesterol, we went to a high-carb, low-fat diet, thinking this was the healthiest diet in the world. Not only has heart disease not come down, it's going up. What we're finding is that those recommendations by the medical community have created our obesity and diabetes epidemic. The CDC came out last year and said that a child born after the year 2000 will run over a 30 percent risk of developing diabetes at some time in their lifetime. If they happen to be black or Hispanic, it's going to be nearly 50 percent. It's all because of processed foods, high-glycemic foods and fast foods that this is happening. People have to understand that there are good carbohydrates out there, and we need them, because they contain our antioxidants, minerals and vitamins. We need our fruits and our vegetables. They aren't the bad culprits -- it's the processed carbs. Not all fat is bad. We're learning that there is good fat. Taking omega-3 fats, mono-saturated fats and vegetable fats in their healthy state will actually lower LDL cholesterol. They lower total cholesterol and raise your good HDL. For proteins, it's the same thing. There is good protein out there, and there is bad protein. So my book pretty much focuses on eating a healthy diet that does not spike your blood sugar, and it talks about exercise. It is just modest exercise that gets your body moving. It's also about, of course, taking what I called "cellular nutrition" which, as I explained earlier, is just a good, complete and balanced nutritional supplement that’s high in quality.

Mike: It seems that the implied message in all of this -- if you'll allow me to paraphrase -- is that obesity and diabetes are almost universally preventable.

Losing It: And Gaining My Life Back One Pound at a Time, by Valerie Bertinelli

On the NBC-TV program "The Doctors" Friday, 2/06/09, the special guest was Valerie Bertinelli. For your information, below is the biography I found on Google.

Valerie Bertinelli charmed a nation of television watchers in the 1970s with the enormously popular comedy, "One Day at A Time". The show spoke to a nation of divorced families, where the single mother relied on charitable efforts of friends and neighbors in order to survive one more day filled with typical life stressors.

Flash forward decades later and Valerie herself is divorced, with a son that she shares with uber-famous rocker, Eddie Van Halen. Still trying to maintain her celebrity status in the face of inner turmoil, Valerie alleges in her new memoir, "Losing It" that she turned to junk food to soothe and to self-harm.

She brings up multiple issues with self-esteem, as characterized by her infidelity, drug use and food abuse. Whether promulgated from show-business or a deeper, more complex and personal issue, Valerie reassures us in her new book that it's normal to have unrealistic expectations about your body and shows how the Jenny Craig program taught her to reach, and even exceed, her weight loss goals.

Lorraine here: I'm not suggesting that you join Jenny Craig. If you have a problem with emotional eating, this book might be helpful. Losing It: And Gaining My Life Back One Pound at a Time (308 pages) is available at Amazon.com for less than $20. Also, you can read a portion of the book on Amazon.

Natural News Special Report Secrets of Nutrition

I received the following as an e-mail today and trust the information presented. I'll order the book, read it, and add to my vast health library.
--------------------------------------------------------
Dear readers,

Today I'd like to share with you some very personal secrets for transforming your health and living a disease-free life. You see, even though I'm known as the Health Ranger today, just a few years ago, I was the average American: Overweight, exhausted, suffering from chronic pain and on my way to becoming diabetic. I was eating junk foods, avoiding exercise, and taking prescription drugs. I looked and felt terrible.

Desperate for solutions, I began to read a book on the dietary effects of sugar. This was my first introduction to the link between nutrition and health, and it opened the door to a universe of fascinating information that has now become my lifelong mission to help promote.

Almost all chronic diseases are preventable, you see, including cancer (90% preventable), type-2 diabetes (almost 100% preventable), depression, heart disease, and literally hundreds of others. But only if you learn and apply the fundamental laws of nutrition!

This is what I'd like to share with you today: The nutritional secrets to a life free of chronic disease. In "Seven Laws of Nutrition," I've put together seven essential nutritional habits showing you the fundamentals to not just preventing but actually HEALING chronic disease. Following these guidelines will also give you the nutritional foundation to reach a healthy body weight, eliminate joint pain, enhance energy and performance and even overcome mental fatigue or cognitive decline. See it now at: http://www.truthpublishing.com/7laws.html

Those are bold statements, but when you finally understand the power of nutrition to activate the body's self-repairing capabilities, you'll recognize these claims as being "matter of fact" statements. The body, simply put, can heal itself of nearly all chronic degenerative diseases or conditions in much the same way it heals a cut or a sprain. The human body is a self-repairing system, after all. What you have to do is give it the right nutritional tools so it can unleash its fullest healing potential. And that comes from natural medicines found in the world of nutrition.

Having experienced a remarkable health transformation myself, ultimately eliminating several different disease conditions in my own body, I am passionate about helping other people make changes too. In "Seven Laws of Nutrition," you will learn:

* How to make a delicious, healthy breakfast shake to start your
morning out right
* The documented correlation between poor nutrition and diseases
* How to obtain optimum nutrition from foods and supplementation
* Which typical Western foods are causing an astronomical rise in
obesity and diabetes
* 20 Superfoods that transform your health
* Where to find quality herbal, vitamin, and mineral supplements
* Why even obese Americans are suffering from malnutrition
* Top health-promoting foods and how these improve your well-being
* Why most diet foods are just as bad for you -- or worse -- than
regular varieties
...And much more

Whether you want to prevent chronic illness or get the nutritional support to beat a disease you've already been diagnosed with, "Seven Laws of Nutrition" gives you potentially lifesaving information that lets you take charge of your health outcome. It's available in both downloadable and hardcopy editions. Learn more at:

Wow!! I found this "blog" on Google

Was it Gomer Pyle (on TV in the 60's) that frequently said "Surprise, surprise"?? To my surprise, I found this "blog" on the first page of a Google search for Lorraine Frantz Edwards!! I knew my name was listed for the books and articles I wrote, but delighted to see that my current labors can also be found. That's a "plus" after a miserable, sleepless night: my allergy symptoms are back with a vengeance!! Now I wish customers, and potential distributors, would find my web site. I've spent thousands of dollars to promote my nutrition business!!

Vegetable-Cashew Stew Recipe

By Dr. Ben Kim on January 26, 2009 Healthy Soups

This super healthy stew is made unique by adding a handful of raisins and whole cashews. Sounds funny, I know, but once you try it, I trust that you'll agree that all of the ingredients go together beautifully.

This vegetable-cashew stew is rich in a number of phytonutrients, most notably, beta-carotene and indole-3-carbinole. Translation: eating plenty of this stew should decrease your risk of just about every chronic disease that we know of.

Makes about 4 servings

Ingredients:

2 cups finely chopped carrots
2 cups finely chopped green cabbage
1 cup finely chopped onion
1 apple, peeled, cored, and chopped into bite-size chunks
1/2 cup whole raw cashews
1/2 cup raisins (dark)
1/3 cup rice, rinsed and drained
2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
1/4 cup tomato paste
6 cups vegetable broth
Sea salt and pepper

Directions:

1. Cook carrots, cabbage, and onion in olive oil in a large soup pot over medium heat; stir occasionally and cook until carrots are tender - about 10 minutes.

2. While the vegetables are cooking, whisk vegetable broth and tomato paste in a bowl.

3. When carrots are tender, add vegetable broth and tomato paste mix to soup pot, bring to a boil, stir in apples and rice. Reduce heat, cover pot, and let simmer until rice is tender but firm - about 30 to 35 minutes.

4. Stir in cashews and raisins. Cover and let cook for about 10 more minutes, or until rice is tender and raisins are plump.

5. Season with sea salt and pepper, to taste.

Enjoy this delightfully unique vegetable-cashew stew. Store leftovers in the refrigerator, and when re-heating over subsequent days, add a little vegetable broth or water to thin down if desired, as this soup thickens over time.

Lorraine here. I can almost taste this soup!! I'm anxious to try it!! Excuse my monochrome message; I have almost 200 e-mails waiting my attention.

Postscript: At 8:40 AM (2/02/09), on the NBC Today show, a demonstration, and comments, about the soon-to-be-released book The Belly Off Diet by Jeff Csatari. Buy it for less than $14. on Amazon.com. Contact me for details about MaxWLX (weight loss accelerator).

Weight Gain This Holiday Season? ~~~~~~~~ You can Cure Obesity

To Scared to Look in the Mirror?
Maybe You Should Be . . .
The Menacing Fat Epidemic Comes to Your Neighborhood . . .
No, it's not Ebola. And it's not some scary repeat of the influenza pandemic.

The global epidemic that has the Centers for Disease Control and the World Health Organization in an uproar is — obesity.

And you could easily be one of the 300 million victims of this global epidemic stalking you and your family right this moment.

Obesity an epidemic?

Perhaps a quick glance in the mirror will convince you — or you could just take a gander at the other people around you . . .

FACT: An astonishing 65.2% of Americans suffer from obesity today.

Go here to start the "Fat Cure" today!

Sure, you may be a far cry from the morbidly obese. But your risks of disease skyrocket as you pack on those extra pounds.

Are You Too Heavy to be Healthy?
Exactly how risky are those spare tires and saddlebags?

According to Dr. Russell Blaylock, Newsmax medical expert and editor of The Blaylock Wellness Report, the truth is out there—and it's pretty darned scary.

He warns that obesity:

Increases your risk of type-2 diabetes by 300%
Increases your risk of high cholesterol by 200%
Increases your risk of heart disease by 200%
Increases your risk of arthritis by 200%
Increases your risk of high blood pressure by 200%
And that's just the tip of the iceberg . . . How about your increased risk of amputations, strokes, kidney failure and blindness?

What's worse, it's not just adults who suffer . . .

Obesity is Overwhelming our Kids
Today, in California alone, a shocking 30% of children qualify as obese!

In fact, the average teenage boy in the U.S. eats 109 pounds of sugar each year — that's crazy . . .

A Whopping 2/3 of Americans are Considered Obese Today!

Click Here for Dr. Blaylock's Fat Cure Secrets!

And just like there are no age boundaries, obesity has no global boundaries either.

It's not just an American problem. No country is immune. Even small Pacific islands are feeling the pinch.

Yes, it's an epidemic all right . . .

So, if you're concerned about protecting yourself and your family from a condition that torments, disables, and even kills people of all ages, you're lucky to be reading this letter ["blog"] right now.

Because obesity is such a life-and-death problem, Dr. Blaylock devoted an entire issue of his newsletter to this topic: "The Fat Cure: Health Secrets to Losing Weight Permanently."

In this "must-read" issue of The Blaylock Wellness Report, Dr. Blaylock shares cutting-edge obesity information with you.

And he has a few shockers of his own.

Sugar & Lack of Exercise May Not Explain the Real Reasons Behind the Obesity Epidemic

In this newsletter, you'll discover that the "official" explanations for obesity — the ones you read about in the mainstream media — are far from the full story.

Until you discover the real reasons behind weight gain, all the dieting and exercise in the world won't be enough to drop those pounds. Or prevent obesity-related illness.

Fortunately, Dr. Blaylock also shares some encouragement and good news with you in this issue. Armed with the right information, techniques and strategies, you can achieve an optimal healthy weight.

Russell Blaylock, M.D. not only compiles and edits Newsmax.com's Blaylock Wellness Report. He's also a nationally recognized board-certified neurosurgeon, health practitioner, author and lecturer.

He attended the Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans and completed his internship and neurosurgical residency at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. For over a quarter of a century, he practiced in the demanding field of neurosurgery in addition to having a nutritional practice.

He recently retired from his neurosurgical duties to devote his full attention to nutritional studies and research. Dr. Blaylock has authored three books on nutrition and wellness:

Excitotoxins: The Taste That Kills
Health and Nutrition Secrets That Can Save Your Life
Natural Strategies for Cancer Patients
An in-demand guest for radio and TV programs, he lectures extensively to both lay audiences and other physicians on a variety of nutrition-related subjects.

Dr. Blaylock is the 2004 recipient of the Integrity in Science Award granted by the Weston A. Price Foundation. He serves on the editorial staff of the Journal of the American Nutraceutical Association and is a member of the editorial board of the Journal of American Physicians and Surgeons, official publication of the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons.

He previously served as Clinical Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS, and is currently a visiting professor of biology at the Belhaven College, also in Jackson.

Truthfully, I (Lorraine) have not subscribed to Dr. Blaylock's Newsletter. I receive these little "teasers" with (in my humble opionion) valuable statistics. Obesity should be taken seriously. Get Lean while Eating GREEN !

I never cease to be amazed by the number of web sites I did not know about!! Since I started my "blog," readers have advised me of new and valuable information. This came from http://www.EatRightAmerica.com/ Enjoy!!

Get Lean while Eating GREEN!

Most people have no idea how our choice of food affects global ecology; however, USA Today (Dec. 18) stated that 75% of Americans plan to try to be more GREEN in 2008.

Most of the information on this website deals with the vast health benefits associated with eating the natural diet for humans, but there are many other reasons for eating this way. In addition to being rewarded with vibrant health and effortless & permanent weight loss, you will be doing your part to save the planet. As you may know by now, we are advocating a very nutrient-dense diet, which requires you to dramatically increase your consumption of whole, unrefined, plant-based foods; particularly leafy green vegetables which contain the most nutrients per calorie of any food. As you move in the direction of more plant-based foods in your diet, you will be contributing greatly to:

Saving the Planet
Reducing Cruelty to Animals
Feeding the Children of the World

How so, you might ask? It's really quite simple and it's also very well documented, but for a variety of reasons we will explain later, this knowledge passes through many media filters and never seems to make it to the mainstream public. Here's a few things that you may not know:

Did you know that the raising of livestock for our dinner tables causes 30% more global warming than all of the cars, trucks, airplanes, ships and trains in the world...combined?
Did you know that the amount of fresh water required to produce just ten pounds of steak is enough water to provide for all household uses for a family of four for a full YEAR?
Did you know that you can feed 2,000 plant-eaters on the same amount of land that it requires to feed just 100 people who eat the Standard American Diet (S.A.D.)?

The above facts are well-documented. In a November 2006 U.N. Report entitled Livestock's Long Shadow, it explored in depth the vast amount of damage being done to our planet due to the raising of livestock for food. The report offered few solutions since the authors, like almost everyone else, didn't even consider that a gradual shift to a plant-based diet was even possible, much less advisable. We now know that, not only is it possible, it is scientifically proven to be the healthiest diet that you can eat.

We are not talking vegetarian or vegan, we are simply talking about dramatically increasing the proportion of whole plant-based foods in your diet...for health reasons. Using simple first-grade math, if you increase the amount of plants in your diet, you will naturally decrease the amount of meat and/or dairy. Naturally, as you eat to optimize your health, you will be making a huge contribution to the environment, the animals and the children.

You may be asking yourself right about now, why haven't I heard all of this before. Why didn't Al Gore and the media tell us about that U.N. Report? With all of the hoopla about global warming, you would think that would be big news, wouldn't you? Well, if you stop and think about it, there are trillions of dollars at stake for many industries when you talk about eating fewer animals and more plants. Even though a gradual shift to a plant-based diet would save billions of lives, feed far more people, and do wonderful things for the environment; our entire system is built around sustaining itself and creating more sales and profits for all involved.

In his landmark book, The China Study, Dr. T. Colin Campbell, summed up the environmental questions very succinctly, "It turns out that if we eat the way that promotes the best health for ourselves, we also promote the best health for the planet." In the same book, he tries to explain how the "system" works as it relates to nutrition and the ability of our food choices to make dramatic improvements in our health. Here's how he explains why you haven't heard any of this before:

"There is a wealth of published research that suggests that the diseases of affluence are a result of poor nutrition; not poor genes or bad luck. So why doesn't the medical system take nutrition seriously? Four words: money, power, ego and control. While it is unfair to generalize about individual doctors, it is safe to say that the system they work in, the system that currently takes responsibility for promoting the health of Americans, is failing us. Most, but not all, of the confusion about nutrition is created in legal, fully disclosed ways and is disseminated by unsuspecting, well-intentioned people, whether they are researchers, politicians, or journalists. The entire system--government, science, medicine, industry and media--promotes profits over health, technology over food and confusion over clarity. The most damaging aspect of the system is not sensational, nor is it likely to create much of a stir upon its discovery. It is a silent enemy that few people see and understand."

There are many reasons why you will not soon hear the "truth about nutrition" from your doctor, the truth about food from the evening news, or the truth about the environment from Al Gore or any other politician. But that doesn't mean that you shouldn't learn the truth for yourself. If you truly want to learn more about the environmental, animal rights and political issues, we recommend that you read these very well documented books:

Diet for a New America by John Robbins
Mad Cowboy by Howard Lyman
The China Study by T. Colin Campbell

After reading all of the above, you might then wish to write your congressional representatives urging them to do something about our political system that ignores the very powerful truths that could have such a huge positive impact on health care, global warming, world hunger and cruelty to animals. The solution is so refreshingly simple in its concept yet so unbelievable complex in its execution.

Are you someone who cares about the environment? You may even refer to yourself as an environmentalist; seems like everyone claims to be one these days. You may have a problem after reading the above three books, because once you learn the truth about what is causing many of our environmental problems, you may have trouble continuing to call yourself an environmentalist. That is, unless you start moving away from eating the Standard American Diet consisting of meat, fish and dairy three meals a day.

Good luck and God Bless as you begin to move in the planet-friendly direction of optimal health. Best regards, Jim Hicks

Jim Hicks is a devout follower of Dr. Fuhrman’s Eat For Health dietary program and a very good friend to Eat Right America’s Founders. I would suggest you visit his website http://www.harmonyearth.net/.

Eating Out? 10 Diet-Busting Restaurant Dishes

These Calorie Bombs Sound Healthy, But They're Not
By Jill Weisenberger, MS, RD, CDE, LifeScript Nutrition Expert
Published December 13, 2008

That turkey burger on the menu sounds healthy – a portion of protein with veggies on the side. Surprise… it’s a ticking calorie bomb! Read on for the top 10 diet-busters at your favorite chain restaurants. Then test how much you know about staying lean when dining out…

Restaurants are a dieter’s downfall. For one thing, meal portions have ballooned (and so have we). Foods are frequently sautéed, stir-fried or simmered in gobs of butter or oil. Even foods that sound healthy can be laced with hidden fat, sugar and salt.

Here are 10 of the most fattening dishes at your favorite chains, based on information from nutrition experts and restaurants themselves:

1. Turkey and Veggie Burgers
These only sound healthy. Sure, veggies are low in fat. So is turkey when it’s skinless and cooked without oil. But the burger’s size, fat content and condiments determine its total nutritional value and calorie count.

So who would guess that Ruby Tuesday’s Bella Turkey Burger contained more than 1,100 calories and 71 grams of fat? The extra baggage comes from its bloated size, signature sauce and cheese.

Not only that, turkey is frequently ground with its skin on, adding calories and unhealthy saturated fats.
