In order to classify something as illegitimate or a scam, we first must understand their business and what they are trying to do. The domain registry industry is a fast paced and competitive market where a large number of domain registration companies are trying to get their domains sold through a small army of domain resellers. That is how Internet domains have been sold for years, and that is how Internet domains will be sold for the foreseeable future.
In the Internet industry is it always difficult to identify pioneers and the forward thinking people that can take the simplest of Internet ideas and turn them into a huge opportunity. One of the areas that have seen some very creative people find a lot of success the past few years is the domain registration business, but Global Domains International could be identified as a pioneering company when it comes to offering domain registration services that could make you a steady income for a long time to come.
It is easy to dismiss a company that comes on to the Internet scene with a new idea as a fly by night organization, but Global Domains International is a forward thinking company that is digging in and preparing to write a long and successful history. At a time when the dot com domains are filling up and people are looking for an alternative way to get their businesses noticed on the Internet, Global Domains International has provided that alternative and then they also created a way to allow you to make money from their great idea.
Global Domains International has secured the entire .WS market, and they want you to help them create an Internet revolution that could make you a full time income. Right now there are between 20 and 30 million dot com websites registered in the world, and it has become increasingly difficult to make your business stand out in the dot com world. With a .WS address your company can stand out above the rest, and gain an entirely new level of Internet presence not possible with an obscure dot com address. It is a pioneering idea that could change the way business is done on the Internet, and it is the brainchild of Global Domains International.
Global Domains International knows that they cannot bring this pioneering idea to the entire Internet by themselves, so they want to pay you to help them do it. If you get involved in their .WS reseller program, then you will have the opportunity to get paid for getting other people interested in this groundbreaking idea and profit from your hard work and their hard work as well. The Global Domains International multi-tiered approach to marketing their product allows you to make money from the people that you bring in, as well as making money from the people that they get involved in the program as well. Your income grows as your business grows, and that is the result of the marketing experts at Global Domain International.
You can search the Internet all day for business opportunities and you will uncover a few legitimate programs, and you will also be exposed to a lot of people that offer you the moon and fall way short on delivering. You need a solid program, backed by a solid business idea, and executed by a solid company. With the Global Domains International .WS reseller program you get all of that, and you get so much more. You can also benefit from their world class Internet hosting service, and all of the benefits that come from having a website registered and hosted by Global Domains International. You get all of this while building a business that could make you a large part-time income, or could turn into your full time successful business.
All of this is made possible by Global Domains International, and it is because they are just that good.

GDI Affiliate since 07/19/2005
In 2002, the textile company I worked for closed its doors. Since then I have been looking for an opportunity to recover my losses and become financially independent. My vision is that GDI will give me that independence.
Promotional Tip:
1. Wherever you go, keep a note pad and gather names and emails addresses.
2. Submit the emails and follow up to be sure if they received them.
3. Always stay positive. A negative attitude will destroy chances.
4. Communicate to your downline. They are the key to your success.

Global Domains International (GDI) is not a scam!!!!!
If you have been following my "blog" you know that I have been the victim of several scams. I've become diligent about searching for complaints from consumers. Yes, there are complaints about GDI. However, here is a very articulate rebuttal to report #424039 on RipoffReport.com.

Global Domains International (GDI) is not a scam!!!!! I have read a number of comments from people here stating GDI is just another pyramid scam which to say the least IS INCORRECT!!!!!!!
Let me let you in on a bit of info that most sponsors do not tell you.
1. Yes GDI is a pyramid but is also a sales position and an affiliate program.
For those of you that do not know what an affiliate program is. It is a commissioned sales position where you will earn money for advertising for the company you are promoting. This happens numerous times on the Internet today: Google, Adsense and a number of sites will pay you. Just take a look at Adjungle, Commission Junction and a bunch of others.
Even search Google for affiliate programs and find out just how many are out there you may be surprised at what you find.
Some people have even stated there is no product with GDI that is also incorrect. You are selling domain names and web space and the email addresses. First maybe you should look at what it would cost you to register you own domain name and pay for webhosting you will find that GDI is right in the ball park.
Also look at the fact that most hosting companies want you to pay for a full year in advance to save a bit.
Also look into the growth of the Internet and see just how many websites there are out there. See I am a web designer by trade and also offer my own web hosting and domain registrations so I have a unique view in this industry.
The truth of the matter is this, anyone that uses photobucket to upload images so their friends and family can see them is perfect for this business. Anyone that uses hotmail, yahoo or any of the other free email providers are perfect for this business. Also any small business that is not already currently on the net is perfect for this business. One person even stated that the website that you are supposed to be purchasing will need to be used to promote the GDI business. This is so wrong! GDI promotional websites are completely separate from your own domain name and you can use that webspace anyway you see fit.
Sad thing is the fact that there have been so many companies out there that when one that is actually legit comes along the red lights go up. See I thought the same thing when I first came across the opportunity 6 months ago so I did my homework on the company so I ask all you out there that thinks GDI is a scam the following.
1. Did you look at their BBB listings?
2. Did you know that all pyramid scams are typically shut down is 12-18 months yet GDI has been in business in the same location since 1999?
3. What about those that are already making money from the business that isn't scared of the sales nature of the opportunity?
It would be very interesting to know what you people have actually researched when posting your scam comments. Anyone that would like to actually sit down with me and truly go over the scam or no scam issue is encouraged to contact me via email I will be more then happy to give you the real low down of what is and isn't right about this business.
If you are afraid of any sales type of a position then this opportunity is not for you. However if not then you may just be able to make a comfortable living with the right approach. The Internet is going to be with us for some time to come and yes there will be scams out there I do not deny that but there are also a bunch of them that are 100% legit if you are willing to take the time to look at it completely.
If anyone wishes to contact me my email is webmaster@averywebservices.ws at which time I will either setup a time where you can meet me in my own private chat room.
Good luck to all and please have faith in the Internet and do your full research before you think a company is a scam without having the full information.
If GDI was a scam they would have been gone by 2001 we are into 2009 and almost 10 years into the companies existence. You cannot run a scam that long without getting nailed.

FYI: GDI strictly prohibits SPAM e-mails!! Have a relationship with the people before you send the invitation. Or let them come to you, or me, through a "blog."

Yes: Lots of options! Your $10 monthly fee covers not only your .WS "WebSite" domain name, but everything needed to make full use of it. Understand the power of healthy chocolate!
I received this with an e-mail. Check for yourself?!?! Quite honestly, I don't eat chocolate but I am the exception.How would you like to change your life and circumstances? You can achieve more freedom, more time with the people you love, and more peace of mind simply by helping people to understand the power of healthy chocolate! Please take your time exploring the information available on this site ....
Again I say "I am the exception." Saturday, a friend offered me an awesome-looking chocolate chip cookie. I could just as easily eaten... and it probably would not have damaged my health in any way!! However, I've felt led--of the Lord--to follow a "vegan" diet based on Genesis 1:29. Most people would say that my diet of large green salads, and other veggies, and fruit, is boring. In fact, at Church yesterday, a friend said "You've lived this long, a little meat isn't going to hurt you." (Just like "a little bit of sin won't hurt you"????) I eat a healthy diet (as I understand it) so that I may better serve my Lord. I also take nutritional supplements to meet any possible deficiency in my diet. Happy Anniversary !!
Today is the four week anniversary of my search for a solution to my health problem (see Feb. 9th). I'm so happy to report that I am feeling much better!! No more coughing, sneezing, and itchy eyes!! Occasional mucus but I no longer use the saline sinus rinse. I'm not using over-the-counter remedies, or prescription drugs; I'm using nutritional supplements and Goldenseal (natural antibiotic). As weather permits, I force myself to walk in the neighborhood. (Now I carry a long piece of pipe; see Feb. 10th.) Despite my lingering constant fatigue, exercise should restore my energy?!?! I appreciate the prayers, and messages expressing concern (with suggestions). Thank you!!

Provacative Thought
What a profound short little paragraph that says it all!!!
"You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is about the end of any nation. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it."
~~~~~ Dr. Adrian Rogers, 1931 - 2005 ~~~~~
Known for his evangelistic zeal and uncompromising commitment to the Word of God, Adrian Rogers was one of the greatest preachers, respected Bible teachers, and Christian leaders of our time. For over fifty years, he consistently presented the Good News of Jesus Christ with strong conviction, compassion, and integrity.
Birthday present
Thirty miles from my apart-ment, at a Circuit City "going out of business sale," I bought myself a birthday present: Extension, stereo speakers for my TV. At 8 PM I enjoyed the quality sound of Celtic Woman, on Public Broadcasting System (with Creative GigaWorks T40 speakers).
Asthma and allergy
Just a note because I'm spending the day researching asthma on the Internet. I read about allergies, and asthma, previously (on the Internet) but that's as far as I went. So far, today, (after an hour) I'm very discour-aged because all the infor-mation is sponsored by pharmaceutical companies selling their prescription drugs. Allergy remedies from the health food store have not alleviated my suffering. What's a gal to do??
(Much later.) E-U-R-E-K-A !! (That means "I found it!") I "knew" the problem was in my apartment; I attributed it to the cat I adopted six months ago (and subsequently sent to a new home). Yes, I believe I was allergic to the cat!! So I accelerated the advertised benefits of ionization and ozone by setting my EcoQuest purifiers at their highest level. Not just one air purifier, but two, at their highest level!!!! Read what I found on the Internet.
Ozone air purifiers: Can they improve asthma symptoms?
Question: My daughter has asthma. Would she benefit from an ozone air purifier in her room?
Mayo Clinic asthma and allergy specialist James Li, M.D., and colleagues answer select questions from readers.
Answer: Despite manufacturer's claims, ozone air purifiers don't remove particles from the air that may trigger asthma attacks. In fact, inhaled ozone can make asthma worse. [Bold color emphasis by Lorraine.]
Ozone generators sold as air purifiers intentionally produce the air pollutant ozone. The ozone molecule contains three atoms of oxygen. Two of these atoms form the basic oxygen molecule. The third atom can detach from the ozone molecule and reattach to molecules of other substances. This changes the chemical composition of the other substances—and forms the basis of manufacturer claims that ozone "purifies" the air. But inhaling ozone, even in small amounts, can irritate the lungs. [Bold color emphasis by Lorraine.] Specific effects may include throat irritation, coughing, chest pain and shortness of breath, as well as an increased risk of respiratory infections.
Some ozone air purifiers are made with an ion generator or "ionizer" in the same unit. You can also buy ionizers as separate units. Ionizers remove particles from the air, causing them to attach to nearby surfaces or to each other and settle out of the air — but they may generate unwanted ozone. High-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filters are more effective in removing allergens from the air, without posing any ozone concerns.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I did all the right things, for all the right reasons: Vegan diet, filtered water, nutritional supplements, purified atmos-phere. I'm an EcoQuest distributor; I sold many air purifiers!! I believe in the effectiveness of the units!! I never suspected that "they" were the cause of my illness. Remember my comment about returning from the three day bus trip "feeling better"?? ~~~ Extenuating circumstances: If I had been employed...(and out of the apartment part of the day); if winter weather hadn't forced me indoors, etc., etc. The sicker I got the less I left the apartment!! Some days I didn't even walk to the mailbox. I spent the day at the computer--less than ten feet from the purifier cranking out maximum ozone. ~~~ "Yes" I have turned off the air purifiers and will keep the reader posted about my recovery. P.S. I'm not critical of the EcoQuest purifiers; I just experienced "too much of a good thing." To add insult to injury--"too much of a good thing"--there were times, when I was away from home, that I wore a Fresh Air "Buddy" Personal Air Purifier on a cord around my neck. I believed it was helping my labored breathing!!

(Much, much later.) Indoor air purifiers produce dangerous levels of ozone.
Indoor air purifiers or ozone generators may pose a serious health risk to people who may be affected by ozone. A study revealed that running the air purifier at the top setting produced an ozone presence in the room that was the same as a stage one smog alert [bold color emphasis by Lorraine] which means that people are advised to avoid the outdoors. Even a medium setting on the purifier produce ozone levels above the California state standard. Of bigger concern is that air purifiers are particularly targeted at people with asthma and other respiratory problems but the ozone generated can make symptoms worse by damaging cell linings in nasal passages and lungs. High ozone levels can cause symptoms such as pain when breathing deeply, coughing and chest tightness. The purifiers claims to remove bacteria, mold and chemical contaminants and thus may benefit asthmatics are misleading. Source: summary of medical news story as reported by YubaNet.

Ozone: Health Hazards and Precautionary Methods
7. The acute toxicity of ozone to man has long been recognised and is well documented. The symptomatic and clinical effects of ozone at various concentrations are summarised in Table 1. Ozone is irritant to mucous membranes of eyes and respirator tract, and high concentrations can cause pulmonary oedema.

First Aid: Ozone poisoning should be treated symptomatically. This may include bed rest, analgesics to relieve pain, and antibiotics as prescribed by a doctor. Severe cases may require hospitalization and exhibit the following symptoms: dypsnea, cough, choking, tachycardia, vertigo, lowered blood pressure, cramps and chest pains. Recovery after severe acute ozone toxicity is slow. Up to 10 to 14 days of hospitalization may be required. Minimal residual symptoms may be present for up to nine months but the victim should completely recover.

Peanut Butter Company Banned from Business with Federal Government, but Big Pharma Kills Thousands More with Impunity

By Mike Adams, February 6, 2009
The U.S. Dept. of Agriculture has banned Peanut Corporation of America from doing business with the federal government. The reason for the ban? Peanut Corp lied about the safety of its peanut butter product, which sickened several hundred people and is linked to the death of eight.
But hold on here: Drug companies routinely lie about the safety of their products. And pharmaceuticals kill at least 100,000 Americans a year, even when used as directed. So why hasn't Big Pharma been banned from conducting business with the federal government?
The reason is obvious: Because Peanut Corp. doesn't have influence in Washington, but Big Pharma does.
Don't think for a minute that action against Peanut Corp is about public safety. If anyone in Washington were genuinely worried about public safety, they'd go after the drug companies, or the chemical polluters, or the companies putting toxic chemicals into the food on purpose! (Aspartame, MSG, sodium nitrate, etc.) But this is about grandstanding, not protecting the public. So authorities in Washington can put on a good show pretending to "protect the public" while pressing for criminal charges against a company that sells a product that's thousands of times safer than pharmaceuticals -- even when it's contaminated with salmonella!
Hilariously, as the NY Times reports, a top dog at the Agriculture Department said, "The actions of P.C.A. indicate that the company lacks business integrity and business honesty, which seriously and directly hinders its ability to do business with the federal government."
Well gee, if this is the criteria for doing business with the federal government, there's practically no pharmaceutical company in the country that shouldn't be banned!
You want to protect Americans? Conduct criminal investigations against drug companies and the FDA. That's the fastest way to stop the needless deaths plaguing our nation thanks to a corrupt, criminally-operated health care system run by crooks.

Lorraine here to suggest you get a copy of Kevin Trudeau's books Natural Cures "They" Don't Want You to Know About, or More Natural "Cures" Revealed, or The Weight Loss Cure "They" Don't Want You to Know About. Personally I think "whistle blower" Kevin Trudeau gets a "bad wrap" from the media. Read what he has to say about Big Pharma and the major food manufacturers. You'll think twice about Kellogg's, Keebler, Kraft, Nabisco....
I've been so sick!! (A friend said "You look awful.") I broke my resolve to N-O-T use over-the-counter medications. Yesterday, I bought maximum strength Mucinex DM. The mucus is unending, and the strangling cough leaves me exhausted!! Three tablets have not alleviated the problem!! Itchy eyes, sneezing.... Time to break another resolve and see a medical doctor?? (I sat on the back row at Church so I could inconspicuously slip out during an incident.)

Natural News Special Report Secrets of Nutrition

I received the following as an e-mail today and trust the information presented. I'll order the book, read it, and add to my vast health library.
--------------------------------------------------------
Dear readers,
Today I'd like to share with you some very personal secrets for transforming your health and living a disease-free life. You see, even though I'm known as the Health Ranger today, just a few years ago, I was the average American: Overweight, exhausted, suffering from chronic pain and on my way to becoming diabetic. I was eating junk foods, avoiding exercise, and taking prescription drugs. I looked and felt terrible.
Desperate for solutions, I began to read a book on the dietary effects of sugar. This was my first introduction to the link between nutrition and health, and it opened the door to a universe of fascinating information that has now become my lifelong mission to help promote.
Almost all chronic diseases are preventable, you see, including cancer (90% preventable), type-2 diabetes (almost 100% preventable), depression, heart disease, and literally hundreds of others. But only if you learn and apply the fundamental laws of nutrition!
This is what I'd like to share with you today: The nutritional secrets to a life free of chronic disease. In "Seven Laws of Nutrition," I've put together seven essential nutritional habits showing you the fundamentals to not just preventing but actually HEALING chronic disease. Following these guidelines will also give you the nutritional foundation to reach a healthy body weight, eliminate joint pain, enhance energy and performance and even overcome mental fatigue or cognitive decline. See it now at: http://www.truthpublishing.com/7laws.html
Those are bold statements, but when you finally understand the power of nutrition to activate the body's self-repairing capabilities, you'll recognize these claims as being "matter of fact" statements. The body, simply put, can heal itself of nearly all chronic degenerative diseases or conditions in much the same way it heals a cut or a sprain. The human body is a self-repairing system, after all. What you have to do is give it the right nutritional tools so it can unleash its fullest healing potential. And that comes from natural medicines found in the world of nutrition.
Having experienced a remarkable health transformation myself, ultimately eliminating several different disease conditions in my own body, I am passionate about helping other people make changes too. In "Seven Laws of Nutrition," you will learn:

Wow!! I found this "blog" on Google
Was it Gomer Pyle (on TV in the 60's) that frequently said "Surprise, surprise"?? To my surprise, I found this "blog" on the first page of a Google search for Lorraine Frantz Edwards!! I knew my name was listed for the books and articles I wrote, but delighted to see that my current labors can also be found. That's a "plus" after a miserable, sleepless night: my allergy symptoms are back with a vengeance!! Now I wish customers, and potential distributors, would find my web site. I've spent thousands of dollars to promote my nutrition business!!

Vegetable-Cashew Stew Recipe
By Dr. Ben Kim on January 26, 2009 Healthy Soups
This super healthy stew is made unique by adding a handful of raisins and whole cashews. Sounds funny, I know, but once you try it, I trust that you'll agree that all of the ingredients go together beautifully.
This vegetable-cashew stew is rich in a number of phytonutrients, most notably, beta-carotene and indole-3-carbinole. Translation: eating plenty of this stew should decrease your risk of just about every chronic disease that we know of.
Makes about 4 servings
Ingredients:
2 cups finely chopped carrots
2 cups finely chopped green cabbage
1 cup finely chopped onion
1 apple, peeled, cored, and chopped into bite-size chunks
1/2 cup whole raw cashews
1/2 cup raisins (dark)
1/3 cup rice, rinsed and drained
2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
1/4 cup tomato paste
6 cups vegetable broth
Sea salt and pepper
Directions:
1. Cook carrots, cabbage, and onion in olive oil in a large soup pot over medium heat; stir occasionally and cook until carrots are tender - about 10 minutes.
2. While the vegetables are cooking, whisk vegetable broth and tomato paste in a bowl.
3. When carrots are tender, add vegetable broth and tomato paste mix to soup pot, bring to a boil, stir in apples and rice. Reduce heat, cover pot, and let simmer until rice is tender but firm - about 30 to 35 minutes.
4. Stir in cashews and raisins. Cover and let cook for about 10 more minutes, or until rice is tender and raisins are plump.
5. Season with sea salt and pepper, to taste.
Enjoy this delightfully unique vegetable-cashew stew. Store leftovers in the refrigerator, and when re-heating over subsequent days, add a little vegetable broth or water to thin down if desired, as this soup thickens over time.
Lorraine here. I can almost taste this soup!! I'm anxious to try it!! Excuse my monochrome message; I have almost 200 e-mails waiting my attention.
Postscript: At 8:40 AM (2/02/09), on the NBC Today show, a demonstration, and comments, about the soon-to-be-released book The Belly Off Diet by Jeff Csatari. Buy it for less than $14. on Amazon.com. Contact me for details about MaxWLX (weight loss accelerator).

Green Tea Catechins Help Promote Loss of Belly Fat, Study Reveals
By Mike Adams, January 26, 2009 Key concepts: Green tea, Fat loss and Abdominal fat
New research published in the Journal of Nutrition reveals that consuming green tea along with three hours of exercise a week results in accelerate loss of body fat around the abdominal region compared to exercise alone.
Read the entire article at Natural News. Worth noting:
Green tea is also well known to help prevent breast cancer, prostate cancer and Alzheimer's disease, by the way. Beware of cheap sources of green tea from China, most of which are contaminated with dangerous levels of fluoride.
I'm still "under the weather." I speculate that I might have been a lot sicker if I had not been taking Max nutritional supplements. Read about MaxGXL, MaxWLX and N-Fuze at my web site.

Obese Americans now outweigh the merely overweight
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The number of obese American adults outweighs the number of those who are merely overweight, according to the latest statistics from the federal government.
Numbers posted by the National Center for Health Statistics show that more than 34 percent of Americans are obese, compared to 32.7 percent who are overweight. It said just under 6 percent are "extremely" obese.
"More than one-third of adults, or over 72 million people, were obese in 2005-2006, the NCHS said in its report.
The numbers are based on a survey of 4,356 adults over the age of 20 who take part in a regular government survey of health, said the NCHS, which is part of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
The figures come from the 2005-2006 survey and are the most current available.
"During the physical examination, conducted in mobile examination centers, height and weight were measured as part of a more comprehensive set of body measurements," the NCHS report said.
"Although the prevalence of obesity has more than doubled since 1980, the prevalence of overweight has remained stable over the same time period," it said.
Obesity and overweight are calculated using a formula called body mass index. BMI is equal to weight in kilograms divided by height in meters squared. Someone with a BMI of 25 to 29 is classified as overweight, 30 to 40 counts as obese and people with BMIs of 40 or more are morbidly obese.
A person 5 feet 5 inches tall becomes overweight at 150 pounds (68 kg) and obese at 180 pounds (82 kg). The U.S. National Institutes of Health has an online BMI calculator at www.nhlbisupport.com/bmi/.
In the 1988-1994 surveys, 33 percent of Americans were overweight, 22.9 percent were obese and 2.9 percent were morbidly obese. The numbers have edged up steadily since.
Being overweight or obese raises the risk of heart disease, diabetes, some cancers, arthritis and other conditions.
In May, the CDC reported that 32 percent of U.S. children fit the definition of being overweight, 16 percent were obese and 11 percent were extremely obese.
Childhood and adult obesity has emerged as a growing problem not only in the United States but also in many countries around the world.

Make the Most of the Past and Be New
“The past is a guidepost, not a hitching post.” - L. Thomas Holdcroft
Today is a new day, you are a new person...don't dwell on yesterday except to learn from it and use it to make today even better. The ability to start fresh and stay positive will be one of the best skills you develop along the road to building a magnificent business.

I'm trying to keep warm while North Carolina experiences extremely frigid temperatures. I don't even walk to the mail box!! The portable heater is four feet away, and the computer screen is twenty inches in front of me. Viva the information super highway!! Have you visited my web site http://SeniorSecurity.MaxTrax4u.com ?? I just read... and listened... and "fell in love" (all over again) with my web site. Tell me what you think.

Bum Your Way to the Top of the Internet Marketing Industry
I confess that my blog is a method of promoting my nutritional supplement business. I'm seeking guidance from many sources on the Internet. Earlier today, I found the following article from Work From Home Review, written 1/08/09 by Robert Corum. Unbeknown to me, I was doing some of the appropriate things. You, the reader, may not find this interesting but I publish it in hopes the article, and the web site, will be beneficial. Truthfully, I will need to revisit the site and "digest" more of his information.
Bum marketing is a strategy that just about anyone can use to promote their products to every corner of the Internet. It is a proven marketing technique that takes almost no effort on your part, just a little time and creativity.
If you’re already an experienced writer, you will have no problem getting this marketing strategy up and running to your advantage. Even inexperienced entrepreneurs who just enjoy writing in their spare time will find success with bum marketing. However, if you have a tendency to cringe at the thought of organizing your ideas into introduction, body, and conclusion paragraphs, this is something you may want to skip over.
Unlike most other writing formats, the key to bum marketing is quantity, not quality. You need to quickly choose an affiliate product to write about and promote, and then generate a wealth of articles, regardless of how innovative or original they may be. Just be sure to place a link to your affiliate product’s website in your Bio Box so that your readers can easily navigate to your affiliate’s webpage.
The concept of bum marketing involves a lot, and I mean A LOT, of writing. Your goal is to create as many articles about your affiliate product as you can and then spread them out across the Internet so that your writing reaches as many viewers as possible. The more people you reach, the more likely all of those people are to click on your affiliate link and increase your commission income.
There are so many ways to produce an article, although many writers fall back on the basic introduction, body, and conclusion paragraphs format. Here are some ways to make your articles a bit more interesting without having to exhaust all of your effort:
• Write a FAQ.
This simple format requires you to choose the top three to five most commonly asked questions from consumers about your particular affiliate product. State these questions and provide thorough answers, and you will have an effective and easy-to-read article ready for publication.
• Write a How-To.
Because you are marketing a product for your affiliate, you will want to use your how-to article to tease your readers into finding out more from your affiliate’s website. You may want to walk your readers step by step through a particular situation, and then tell them to visit the affiliate website to learn the final steps.
• Give a Few Tips.
This type of article offers your readers tips, tricks, and secrets to doing something better. For example, you may write an article called, “Six Tricks to Healthier Skin,” or “The Secrets of Work-from-Home Success.” Whatever tips you choose to provide, they should directly relate to your affiliate product, and you should convince your reader to find out even more insider information by visiting their website.
• Review Your Affiliate Product.
You can write this article in the same style and format as a book or movie review. Provide your reader with your own personal experience in regards to your affiliate’s product, and let them know just how much success you had with it.
• Write a Classified Ad.
This format does not really resemble an article at all. However, it is still very effective. All you have to do is write up a few short and descriptive sentences about your affiliate product that will compel your readers to visit its website.
Think of how many articles you could come up with in just one hour using all of these formats! Bum marketing is the key to easily getting the word out about your affiliate product so that you can profit from a rewarding commission.

10 Tips for the Suddenly Unemployed
Author Jennifer Kushell (Copied in total from 1/15/09 Beliefnet.)
For the tens of thousands who have lost their jobs, and the millions of others fearing for the jobs they still have, YSN.com's Jennifer Kushell shares these tips to survive the initial shock -- and bounce back like a star.
Breathe. Stay Calm.
The worst decisions are made under pressure, stress, or in a state of fear. Don't allow yourself to be rash or irrational; keep your wits about you and commit to making it through this in one piece. Get a sense for what this layoff really means to you and what the real repercussions will be.
Assess your safety nets: What are your back-up plans? (All the way down to spending time with the folks in your worst case financial scenario.) Hopefully you've done enough to guard against that, and if so, take some solace in the fact that you're prepared to weather a little uncertainty.
Look at This As an Opportunity.
You know what they always say, "It's not what happens to you, but what you do about it." That might not be what you want to hear right now, but think about it: This sudden change could have a silver lining -- so commit yourself to finding it. Take some time for yourself, even just a few quiet hours alone and reflect on all the things you truly liked and disliked about your job.
What would you have done differently? Were you there because you had to be, or because you wanted to be? Ask yourself how you can now take the next step learning from your past experience. Is there a chance to take a step up? Or to change industries or careers entirely if you weren't as happy as you wanted to be? So many times, abrupt changes like this are exactly what people need to get out of a rut and move on to something they'd really love to be doing.
Audit Your Online Identity.
Start paying close attention to your reputation management, to the platform that you've built for yourself online (if any) and to what new people will perceive about you when they google you. If you don't like what you see online, or want to take control of that first impression you're giving off, build a professional identity you can be proud of with a PROJO - your professional mojo.
It's a next-generation resume/portfolio that you can share with contacts, add to/promote in your signature line, build out and keep up to date with your latest accomplishments to ensure that when someone searches for you, they find the "goods" on you, but the good!
Stay Connected to Your Network.
You probably have a lot more friends, colleagues and supporters than you realize. Survey your address books, PDA, business card files and social networks to see who's really in your inner circle and wider network and who might be able to help lead you to some new prospective opportunities. Talk to friends and family and see who they know.
Then start reaching out to catch up with everyone you can. Befriend old friends online, shoot out a bunch of emails, even invite a few for coffee or drinks. Start talking to everyone you can! Ask your contacts who else you should be talking to, then reach out to them. Update your online profiles with the latest news and let people know that you're actively exploring your options. This is not the time to hide out and wallow. Just make sure you force yourself to smile and at least appear to have a positive outlook for the future! Repeat the mantra to yourself: "onward and upward!"...until you believe it.
Assess Your Financial Situation.
The first serious thing you need to do once you have the ability to think calmly and rationally (see #1) is to figure out the true state of your financial affairs. If you can, sit down with a financial consultant who will know how to ask you the right questions to get a proper assessment. Take a very careful look at any severance (if you're lucky), benefits packages (like insurance policies, 401ks, etc.) that you may be able to "roll over" from your old company's plan. (Take care of this right away too!)
Ride the Coat Tails of Senior Execs.
If you've done a good job of befriending and staying tight with your bosses and other senior management, it might just pay off in real dividends now. Keep in close contact with them!!!
The more connected they are, the faster they will probably find their next great opportunities and look to set themselves up for success in their new spot. When that happens, seasoned execs take quick steps to surround themselves with people they know and trust. They build teams from people they know -- and that could include you! Make it known that you're up for the new adventure if you are.
Use Your Leverage.
What can you do to leverage the experience you've had so far and the skills you've been building? What do you know that others want to? (Besides proprietary trade secrets!) How can you use what you've learned to your benefit and to others?
You don't have to play hardball or let your ego run wild to put your experience and expertise to work for you in a positive and proactive way. A great way to do this, and make some quick money, is to do some consulting work. Taking a few projects on will keep you in the game and buy you time to figure out your next move. Who knows, you might actually like it so much you decide to make it your new business!
Open Yourself Up to New Opportunities.
Employment prospects or ideas you hear about from friends and relatives might not sound quite right at first, but give them a chance to explain -- and yourself a chance to explore a bit. Don't limit your attention to a very narrow set of options right after a layoff. Try to imagine yourself working in a whole new scenario and consider whether you might find happiness in some other industry or way than you'd previously envisioned. Ask a bunch of questions...even just to humor yourself.
You might actually learn something you never expected or discover a connection to something that does actually fit you.
Stay Healthy...Or Make This Your Big Chance to GET Healthy.
Whether you've been really diligent about taking care of yourself while employed or have totally forgotten what an athletic shoe feels like on your foot, make your health a major priority now.
Take the time to sleep, get some fresh air, walk, run, do some yoga -- whatever makes you feel your best. The endorphins will help a lot in bringing a smile and positive outlook to your face. You'll also project more confidence as you go out to pursue other opportunities. You never know who you'll meet along that run either!
Use This As Preparation for the Next Big Shake-up in Your Life.
Right now this might seem like the end of the world, but the good news is that if you can weather this storm, you'll only be better prepared for the next one. Though we'd like to say this will never happen again, the truth is that life is a cycle of ups and downs, and preparation is the key to surviving it all.
If you are ready to look at the big picture, listen to our Secrets of the Young & Successful podcast series and create the life you've always dreamed about -- no better time than the present! You can also come and talk to others about what's happening to you in our discussion forum. You never know where the next great idea or opportunity is waiting...
Good luck!

I [Lorraine] had to reassess my options in 2008. Who would want to hire a "senior citizen" when there are thousands of younger people looking for a job?? I have many skills (secretarial, computer, writer, proofreader, publisher, researcher, ...) but the potential employer looks at the birth date on my resume. So I've used my talents to build a network marketing business. Computer, writing and publishing skills used to prepare this "blog." Research skills used to search the Internet. With "age" comes patience so I've spent hours reading helpful material, and hours listening to webinars. With the exception of depression over the holidays, I've used the last several months to take care of my health. Without even reading the above article (or similar...) I was doing a lot of the things suggested above. Perhaps this article will be helpful for you. Consider joining me in my home-based business. Work from the comfort of your own home. I echo author Jennifer Kushell when I say "Good Luck!" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Coincidentally, while editing this message, Bob Beaudine was being interviewed on the NBC TODAY show (1/15/09, 9:45 A.M.). His new book "The Power of Who" covers--and expands upon--the above suggestions. (Available at Amazon for approximately $14.00.) I direct you to the first sentence of Open Yourself Up to New Opportunities (above). Bob emphasized the merit of contacting your friends and family; don't go-it-alone!! Consider me your friend.

Here's a 1/16/09 postscript: If you are looking for work--and you are using the Internet--you have probably received a message similar to the following (just below this paragraph). In my humble opinion, it's impossible to make that kind of money taking surveys. For months I took every survey that arrived in my e-mail. The more I took, the more that arrived. I did not receive a single penny!! I really "worked" on surveys!! Caveat emptor.
Jobs To Do From Home, from Money Making Tips
Can you really make $150 an hour performing simple jobs from home? The truth is that answering online surveys and participating in market research can be surprisingly profitable. Some companies running focus groups will indeed pay $150 per hour, and $75 an hour is not at all uncommon.
We have researched and reviewed some of these companies, and we provide our recommendations for ones we think can realistically get you jobs answering surveys from home, or participating in other market research projects. You may not make $150 an hour every time, but you definitely can earn thousands of dollars per month, if you're willing to treat taking surveys like a real job. (I treated it like a real job!!)
Good luck!
