Do you subscribe this opinion?

I'm not only "keen" on "green," I am very budget-minded!! I was distressed to hear a segment on the NBC Today show (today) about discarding food items. The guest speaker went over everything from canned goods to balsamic vinegar. Toss the canned goods if they are over a year old!! Toss the spices if they are over a year old!! Toss the olive oil... if it has been exposed to sunlight!! (Personally, I keep my extra virgin olive oil in a dark cool place so I'm OK with that product. Cold pressed, extra virgin olive oil is so-o-o expensive, and so-o-o good for you!!) Balsamic vinegar is like fine wine and can cost a little, or a lot. It won't spoil so can keep indefinitely!! Who among us can start the New Year by going through the cupboards, and pantry, and tossing items a year old?? I'll bet my "old" condiments, and "old" organic canned goods, are healthier than the processed food in many cupboards and refrigerators!!!! Remember: The title of my "blog" is In My Humble Opinion.

Most people have no idea how our choice of food affects global ecology; however, USA Today (Dec. 18) stated that 75% of Americans plan to try to be more GREEN in 2008.

Most of the information on this website deals with the vast health benefits associated with eating the natural diet for humans, but there are many other reasons for eating this way. In addition to being rewarded with vibrant health and effortless & permanent weight loss, you will be doing your part to save the planet. As you may know by now, we are advocating a very nutrient-dense diet, which requires you to dramatically increase your consumption of whole, unrefined, plant-based foods; particularly leafy green vegetables which contain the most nutrients per calorie of any food. As you move in the direction of more plant-based foods in your diet, you will be contributing greatly to:

Saving the Planet
Reducing Cruelty to Animals
Feeding the Children of the World

How so, you might ask? It's really quite simple and it's also very well documented, but for a variety of reasons we will explain later, this knowledge passes through many media filters and never seems to make it to the mainstream public. Here's a few things that you may not know:

Did you know that the raising of livestock for our dinner tables causes 30% more global warming than all of the cars, trucks, airplanes, ships and trains in the world...combined?
Did you know that the amount of fresh water required to produce just ten pounds of steak is enough water to provide for all household uses for a family of four for a full YEAR?
Did you know that you can feed 2,000 plant-eaters on the same amount of land that it requires to feed just 100 people who eat the Standard American Diet (S.A.D.)?

The above facts are well-documented. In a November 2006 U.N. Report entitled Livestock's Long Shadow, it explored in depth the vast amount of damage being done to our planet due to the raising of livestock for food. The report offered few solutions since the authors, like almost everyone else, didn't even consider that a gradual shift to a plant-based diet was even possible, much less advisable. We now know that, not only is it possible, it is scientifically proven to be the healthiest diet that you can eat.

We are not talking vegetarian or vegan, we are simply talking about dramatically increasing the proportion of whole plant-based foods in your diet...for health reasons. Using simple first-grade math, if you increase the amount of plants in your diet, you will naturally decrease the amount of meat and/or dairy. Naturally, as you eat to optimize your health, you will be making a huge contribution to the environment, the animals and the children.

You may be asking yourself right about now, why haven't I heard all of this before. Why didn't Al Gore and the media tell us about that U.N. Report? With all of the hoopla about global warming, you would think that would be big news, wouldn't you? Well, if you stop and think about it, there are trillions of dollars at stake for many industries when you talk about eating fewer animals and more plants. Even though a gradual shift to a plant-based diet would save billions of lives, feed far more people, and do wonderful things for the environment; our entire system is built around sustaining itself and creating more sales and profits for all involved.

In his landmark book, The China Study, Dr. T. Colin Campbell, summed up the environmental questions very succinctly, "It turns out that if we eat the way that promotes the best health for ourselves, we also promote the best health for the planet." In the same book, he tries to explain how the "system" works as it relates to nutrition and the ability of our food choices to make dramatic improvements in our health. Here's how he explains why you haven't heard any of this before:

"There is a wealth of published research that suggests that the diseases of affluence are a result of poor nutrition; not poor genes or bad luck. So why doesn't the medical system take nutrition seriously? Four words: money, power, ego and control. While it is unfair to generalize about individual doctors, it is safe to say that the system they work in, the system that currently takes responsibility for promoting the health of Americans, is failing us. Most, but not all, of the confusion about nutrition is created in legal, fully disclosed ways and is disseminated by unsuspecting, well-intentioned people, whether they are researchers, politicians, or journalists. The entire system--government, science, medicine, industry and media--promotes profits over health, technology over food and confusion over clarity. The most damaging aspect of the system is not sensational, nor is it likely to create much of a stir upon its discovery. It is a silent enemy that few people see and understand."

There are many reasons why you will not soon hear the "truth about nutrition" from your doctor, the truth about food from the evening news, or the truth about the environment from Al Gore or any other politician. But that doesn't mean that you shouldn't learn the truth for yourself. If you truly want to learn more about the environmental, animal rights and political issues, we recommend that you read these very well documented books:

Diet for a New America by John Robbins
Mad Cowboy by Howard Lyman
The China Study by T. Colin Campbell

After reading all of the above, you might then wish to write your congressional representatives urging them to do something about our political system that ignores the very powerful truths that could have such a huge positive impact on health care, global warming, world hunger and cruelty to animals. The solution is so refreshingly simple in its concept yet so unbelievable complex in its execution.

Are you someone who cares about the environment? You may even refer to yourself as an environmentalist; seems like everyone claims to be one these days. You may have a problem after reading the above three books, because once you learn the truth about what is causing many of our environmental problems, you may have trouble continuing to call yourself an environmentalist. That is, unless you start moving away from eating the Standard American Diet consisting of meat, fish and dairy three meals a day.

In His Steps

On Jesus birthday, I'd like to share the following:

Have you seen kids wearing bracelets with the initials WWJD— "What Would Jesus Do?" The story behind those bracelets begins a century ago, when a minister named Charles Sheldon wrote a novel titled In His Steps. One Sunday morning at First Church, Pastor Henry Maxwell is preaching a sermon about how to follow Christ's example of sacrificial love.

The service is suddenly interrupted when a tramp stands up. He's been out of work for a year, he says, yet not one person in town has helped him find another job. Twisting his shabby hat in his hands, the tramps says, "I was wondering if what you call following Jesus is the same thing as what he taught.…I get puzzled when I see so many Christians living in luxury and remember how my wife died in a tenement.…what would Jesus do?" At that point, to the congregation's horror, the tramp collapses and dies.

The following Sunday, the minister makes a stunning proposal: He's looking for volunteers willing to pledge themselves for an entire year to do nothing without first asking, "What would Jesus do?" Some fifty people make the pledge, and a remarkable series of events begins.

Some of these people pay a high price for their obedience. But they also learn the joy of following faithfully in his footsteps.

A few years ago, a Holland, Michigan youth leader was so inspired by this classic story that she had bracelets made bearing the letters WWJD and gave them to the kids in her church. The idea caught fire, and today millions wear them.

Christmas Shopping at the Mall

Today I joined the crowds in the Mall. I didn't "plan" a shopping trip but must have been influenced by television news stories. So I browsed, and browsed, and browsed!! I looked at the price tags on clothes and jewelry, in Dillard's, and said to myself "Even with 50% to 70% off, I can't afford that!!" I couldn't justify a purchase in Penney's or Sears either!!

At Sam's Club, I bought Organic Baby Spring (salad) Mix and Organic Baby Spinach, and Gala apples. I was surprised that there were limited customers (in Sam's) so I got right up to the cash register. Most customers had a limited number of items in their basket!! Sign of the times??!!

I'm feeling better about the holiday season. I sent seventy cards by "snail mail" and thirty e-cards. And you? How are you feeling?? How many cards did you send?? Until next time, Lorraine wishing you a blessed Christmas and a healthy New Year!!

Dreaming of a Green Christmas

For a season so focused on family, it’s amazing that, during Christmas, so many of us overlook our Mother Earth: We drive from store to store searching for presents, we travel long distances to attend parties, plus, Americans throw away an estimated one million extra tons of garbage each week between Thanksgiving and New Year’s Day! For those who want to celebrate in a more eco-friendly style, we’ve gathered some tips to help you green your holiday traditions.

Burn Cleaner Candles
Most of us love the warm glow of candles come Christmas, in Advent wreaths, the kitchen, and everywhere else in the house. But did you know that some candles can contribute to indoor air pollution? Make sure any candle you purchase has a metal-free wick to avoid releasing lead into the air (that means tossing any you bought before October of 2003, when lead wicks were finally banned). Candles made from beeswax, vegetable wax or soy are also much cleaner burning than those made with paraffin wax, which is a petroleum product. And don’t forget to trim your wick to 1/4” before lighting to limit the amount of smoke that enters the air.

Use Earth-Loving Lights
Deck your house and tree with energy-saving LED (light-emitting diode) lights. You can now find them in every shape, size and color imaginable and they use about 33% less energy than traditional incandescent lights, so they’ll save you money, too. According to a study conducted by the U.S. Department of Energy, if everyone replaced their Christmas lights with LED strings, in just one month, we’d save at least 2 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity—enough to power 200,000 homes for an entire year!

Green Your Evergreen
Each year, over 30 million Christmas trees are uprooted and sold in North America alone. This year, try purchasing a tree that has its roots intact, then planting it in your yard once it has served its seasonal purpose. Another option is to recycle your tree. When you throw your tree into the trash, it ends up occupying valuable landfill space, whereas recycling turns it into wood chips which can be used to mulch gardens and parks. Visit Earth911 and enter your zip code to find a “treecycling” center in your area.

Get In the Carpool Lane
When driving to church, holiday parties, or even the mall for shopping excursions, why not do so with others? You’ll save on gas and reduce your carbon footprint, while spending time with friends and family you may otherwise rarely run into during the hectic holiday season.

A Hostess Gift Worth Giving
Looking for a useful, unique, and thoughtful host or hostess gift? Consider making a donation to an environmental charity. By doing so, you’ll be improving the world while reducing waste—after all, how many bars of soap, hand towels or holiday mugs does one person really need? At JustGive.org, you can search through more than 1 million different charitable organizations, learn more about each, and then purchase gift certificates that recipients can redeem as donations for their charity of choice.

Don’t Toss Old Toys
Kids inevitably outgrow their toys. Instead of tossing what they’re tired of into the trash, why not donate your family’s gently used games, dolls, and other playthings to families who are less fortunate? Bring them to your local Salvation Army thrift store or check with your church to find out if they will be collecting both old and new toys for families in need. Just be sure to only offer up items that are clean and that aren’t missing any pieces or parts.

Be An Earth-Wise Wrap Star
Stocking up on wrapping paper that ends up in piles on the floor and in the trash post unwrapping can be costly, not just for you but for the Earth, as well. Chances are, your friends and family won’t mind if you wrap your gifts in recycled brown paper bags, or newspaper, as it is what’s inside (and the thought!) that counts, right? Stay Green By Keeping Clean
When the holidays are over and the house guests are all gone, clean up with safer, less-toxic cleaning products. Most cleansers are loaded with chemicals that can be harmful to your health and pollute the water and air. Switching to non-toxic, all natural products (that contain ingredients your grandmother used to clean the house with) is a simple way to be green and clean. Some great brands to look for: Method, Seventh Generation, and Ecover. You can also try your hand at making your own household cleansers by checking out the tips at The Daily Green.

Cut Back on Cards
Reduce paper waste by sending your loved ones E-Cards instead of traditional paper cards. Hallmark.com offers plenty of free options, as do sites like Bluemountain.com and Egreetings.com. If only old-fashioned Christmas cards will cut it for you, look for those that are certified by the Forest Stewardship Council: Cards with the FSC logo on the back are made from recycled paper or from trees that were grown and harvested in a sustainable manner.

I mailed over sixty Christmas cards, personalized with a couple of paragraphs of information. I already had the cards from previous years' "after Christmas" sales so, in essence, I am recycling (right??). I had the Madonna stamps because (two months ago) I had every intention of sending cards and a "newsletter." The newsletter didn't get written because I've been depressed. The Top Fifteen Biggest Health, Nutritional and Medical Lies!

I received this recently, and want to share it with you. It's long, but well worth reading. I'm still busy personalizing and addressing Christmas correspondence. Hopefully you didn't wait until the last minute like I did.

1) The Flu vaccine will protect you from the flu virus.

This is a falsehood. There is no such thing as a flu virus and therefore there is no need for a poisonous acidic flu vaccine made with chicken embryos, formaldehyde, mercury, detergent, and alcohol. The flu is the body in preservation mode increasing body temperature to activate the lymphatic system to remove excess dietary and/or metabolic acids in the tissues via respiration, perspiration, defecation and urination. The key to reversing the symptoms of the Flu is hydration with alkaline fluids and sweating with infrared sauna or exercise.

2) Taking antibiotics will kill bacteria.

This is medical subgerfuge and distortion as even the medical community realizes that antibiotics don't do what they are supposed to do. We say with alarm that disease is becoming resistant to antibiotics. They are not "resistant" because they have never been operative or effective. Antibiotics are the acidic waste products of fermentation. To make an antibiotic, you need a yeast or mold and some sugar for the yeast or mold to ferment. The bi-product of the yeast or mold fermenting the sugar is the acidic antibiotic. The acids from antibiotics DO NOT KILL BACTERIA. They only force the bacteria to change. Into what does bacteria change? Into yeast and mold. That is why when you take antibiotics you end up with a yeast infection! That's the antibiotic causing the bacteria to change from one form to another. I call this process of change "biological transformation" and the reason why you should NEVER take antibiotics. This is one of the biggest scientific misconceptions ever. First, the stomach is NOT and organ of digestion. Most so-called digestion starts in the mouth. That's why your mom said to chew your food. The stomach is an organ that alkalizes the food and liquids that you eat. The stomach cells, called the cover cells, secrete sodium bicarbonate onto the ingested food and drink to alkalize the food, not to digest the food. For every molecule of sodium bicarbonate produced by the stomach for alkalizing, a molecule of hydrochloric acid is produced as a waste product. Hydrochloric acid or HCL never touches the food or drink but falls into the gastric pits of the stomach away from the food and drink as the sodium bicarbonate rises to the top to alkalize the food and/or liquids ingested. This is necessary in order to prepare the food in an alkaline state for the duodenum and the small intestine where the liquid food is then biologically transformed into stem cells. There is NO part of the alimentary canal that does not secret sodium bicarbonate for alkalizing. In conclusion, the stomach is an organ of contribution and alkalizing, not a digestive organ as medical savants would have us believe. So now you know it is a whopper of a lie.

4) A cold is caused by a virus.

This is another whopper--a century long distortion. A cold is the body removing excess dietary and/or metabolic acids through the orifices of the body to maintain its delicate alkaline pH. Colds are NOT caused by viruses but are caused by eating too much acidic GARBAGE. I won't get YOUR cold if MY body is properly alkaline. Excess acids can also be caused by your thoughts or negative emotions which can also give rise to the elimination of these acids through various orifices, such as your eyes, ears, mouth or nose.

5) Pharmaceutical drugs may have side-effects.

What an intentional obfuscation this is! Pharmaceutical drugs do not have side-effects; they have EFFECTS! And lots of them! If you take the drugs, plan on them affecting your health in many negative and acidic ways.

6) The brain runs on sugar.

This is closer to gross ignorance than a lie. Sugar is a metabolic acid and has no value in the body. None. Zero. Zip. Nada. The brain does NOT run on sugar; it runs on electrons - just like every other cell in the human body. Increase your healthy brain function with more electrons with electron-rich food and water.

7) Cancer is a disease of the tissues.

NO! Cancer is not a disease of the tissues but a disease of the fluids of the body. After a trillion dollars spent since President Nixon declared war on cancer, we still pretend not to know what it is. But it has become a several hundred billion dollar industry.....larger than the automobile industry. Cancer is an acidic, environmental, dietary and/or metabolic liquid; it is NOT a cell and we ALL have some of it in our body to greater or lesser degree. The more acid we have in our body, the greater the risk for cancerous tissues. Cancer therefore is a four letter word: ACID! And cancer's fumbling, bumbling proponents have put forth another four letter word: MYTH.

8) HIV is a virus and causes AIDS.

This is an incredible whopper! And because the real and UNEXAMINED TRUTH has been explained by several scientists for many years, it is MORE than a whopper. It is now a fraud. There is NO HIV virus. You heard me right; there is NO HIV virus! There never has been. AIDS or immune deficiency is caused by an acidic way of living, eating and thinking. There is no need for drugs, but just the need to change to an alkaline lifestyle and diet and PRESTO.... NO MORE AIDS. It works 100 percent of the time if you get going before the drugs and wrong diet have taken you right up to death's door.

9) Taking digestive enzymes will help digestion.

This is a major fable and fabrication to which many holistic doctors prescribe. And it's a dangerous one....especially for people who take digestive enzymes all the time. Enzymes are acids from fermentation and are poisonous. Just like Draino, taking enzymes will eventually destroy your alkalizing alimentary canal. One will kill you fast and one will kill you slow! Digestive enzymes may break down meat, but nutritional science clearly tells us that you shouldn't be eating meat. They will break you down too because guess what? Your alimentary canal is meat!!

10) Blood is made in the marrow of the bones.

This inaccuracy and science fiction began with the distortions of four scientists in 1952 when they conducted starvation studies on rabbits and pigeons and decided after autopsy that blood was created in the bones. This is NOT correct. The primary site of blood production is in the crypts of the intestinal villi in the small intestine. When acids (antibiotics, acid food and drink, enzymes, probiotics) damage or destroy the intestinal villi, then the body makes blood out of various body cells such as the bones. The studies on blood in 1952 may likely have been the correct conclusion if the autopsies had been done on humans--assuming the bodies had starved to death like the rabbits and pigeons. Logically, autopsies are done on people who have been very sick and finally died. The body is so sick that blood has not been made in the the intestinal villi perhaps for some time. Now medical savants have amazingly discovered that blood can also be made in the liver. The truth is that it can also be made from all the organs and all the cells once the body is sickly enough. Hopefully, we won't be doing autopsies on healthy bodies because they rarely die. But if we did, we'd find out where blood is really made in a healthy body....in the crypts of the intestinal villi in the twenty-seven feet of the small intestine.

11) Germs cause disease via an infection.

This is another invention based on faulty scientific premises. Germs are nothing more than the biological transformation of organized matter disorganizing. Germs therefore are the RESULT of fermenting matter and not the CAUSE of fermenting matter, just as the smoke of a fired gun is not the cause but the evidence that the gun has been fired. When you see bacteria, yeast or mold on food, this is a result of food deterioration, not a result of an infection. When I see bacteria or yeast in the blood, I know this is a result of blood or body cells biologically transforming and not a result of an infection. In other words, germs are born in us and from us. The infection can only contribute to a state of imbalance but CANNOT cause ANY specific disease. So stay away from all treatment plans, traditional or alternative that focuses on the killing germs. If the drug or supplement will kill germs it will also kill you.

12) High Cholesterol in the form of low density lipoproteins or LDL's can cause heart attacks and strokes.

Cholesterol does NOT cause heart attacks or stokes. Not a single one. This is a distortion and an inaccuracy based on faulty observation and inquiry. Environmental, dietary and metabolic acid cause heart attacks and strokes. The body releases cholesterol or LDL's to buffer or chelate the toxic lethal affects of acid to protect the body, not harm the body. It is your thoughts, your words and your deeds that create waste products or acids. If these acids are not eliminated through urination. perspiration, defection or respiration, the body will release cholesterol or LDL's to buffer these acids for protection and not for destruction. A recent landmark study showed that you are more likely to have a heart attack or stroke with normal or low cholesterol then a person with a total cholesterol over 300. Your risk for a heart attack or stroke increases significantly as your acid levels increase or if you lower your cholesterol with drugs without lowering your production of acid from the environment, lifestyle, diet and/or metabolism.

13) Eating protein builds muscles.

Wrong again. This is another fictitious distortion based on faulty observation based on a) preconceived notions about how the body works and b) the failure of science to sufficiently isolate variables when making so-called scientific observations. Tell the strongest animals in the world--vegetarian animals--that eating protein builds muscle. Eating protein actually makes you weak and eventually sick and tired from the debilitating acids of sulphuric, nitric, phosphoric and uric acid. The body builds muscle from blood and not from plant or animal protein. At the Ranch we grow avocados. We give our avocados minerals, water and sunshine - no protein. Yet, our avocados are 80% healthy fat and 15% protein. If you want to build muscle you have to build blood. And to build blood you have to eat green foods and lots of them.

14) Obesity is a fat problem.

I would call this a big fat lie. A big Whopper with cheese and bacon. No, I'm sorry fat doctors, fat farms and fat clinics of the world. Obesity is an acid problem, not a fat problem. The body protects itself against acidic lifestyles and diets by making and using fat. Christmas Card for a Recovering Soldier

The last two days, I have personalized and mailed thirty-eight Christmas cards. (Many more await my attention.) Last night I prepared three identical cards for A Recovering American Soldier (three soldiers). I selected very pretty Currier & Ives cards that had a generic sentiment and lots of "white space." I wrote from the top of the page to the bottom... and turned it over and covered the back side. Just "chit chat" about places I've lived, and travel with a recreation vehicle. I sent a photo. I included my address and said I'd answer their correspondence. I'm sending the cards (today) with a prayer that in some small way I may brighten the day for A Recovering American Soldier. Even after Christmas, I believe there are individuals who would love to receive a card or letter. The address is:

Note from Chet: Christian evangelist and natural health teacher Lester Roloff helped many people regain their health. He did it by encouraging them to use fresh vegetable juice as well as a moderate, predominantly plant-based diet that included moderate amounts of animal foods. I liked Roloff's health teachings when I first read them because he recognized the body's need for a balanced diet, and he ate and told people to eat some animal foods like eggs and cottage cheese in moderate amounts. Let's go directly to one of his two fine pamphlets on health, where he wrote:

"For meat, eat fish, fowl, wild game, avocado, egg yolks, nuts, cheese, and cottage cheese, sunflower seed, and a minimum of other meats. Drink a lot of juices, always unsweetened, forty-five minutes to an hour before the meal, or a couple of hours after the meal."

And now for Brother Roloff's 22 health tips...

1. Eat uncooked food one day each week.

2. Fast at least three meals a week.

3. Do not eat fast [rapidly].

4. Do not drink things real hot or real cold.

6. Drink your fruit juices at least forty-five minutes before you eat and wait at least two hours after you eat before you drink fruit juices or vegetable juices.

7. DO NOT eat starches, sugar, or sweet fruits such as raisins, dates, and figs with meats or fruits such as grapefruit, oranges, lemons, apples, pears, peaches, etc.

8. Avoid fried foods, gravies, hot sauces, and black pepper.

9. Drink a lot of pure water.

10. Do not eat late at night.

11. Since food is sanctified by the Word of God and prayer, quote a verse of Scripture and always ask the Lord to bless the food.

12. Young people, remember that a good complexion does not come out of a jar or a bottle, but out of your stomach. A healthy outside comes from a healthy inside.

13. Make your own toothpaste out of salt and soda. The dentist will tell you this is safer and better for your teeth. [Note: We consider ToothSoap to be a much healthier choice than salt and baking soda. - Eds]

14. Take a good fast walk every day, concentrating on breathing deeply. It's better to walk early in the morning when things are fresh and you get your purest air.

15. Wear the most comfortable shoes if you want healthy feet.

17. Do not be afraid of sunshine. There is healing in it.

18. Sleep on a hard bed and learn to sleep on your back. Your framework is in your back, but if you sleep on your stomach or side, you are likely to impair the organs of your body and many times develop cricks in your neck and in your arms. I would rather sleep three hours on a hard bed than four on a soft bed.

19. Do not sleep in a room with the gas turned on because it will burn out the oxygen. Keep plenty of fresh air in the room.

20. Try to be asleep by ten o'clock and not later than eleven. One hour before midnight is worth two after midnight.

21. Do not be deceived either by the advertisements or by the great intellects. Good food and good health habits really work. Find out what your body needs and faithfully provide it.

22. Don't compare money or time with health. Health is priceless.

We all carry our mobile phones with names & numbers stored in its memory but nobody, other than ourselves, knows which of these numbers belong to our closest family or friends.

If we were to be involved in an accident or were taken ill, the people attending us would have our mobile phone but wouldn't know who to call. Yes, there are hundreds of numbers stored but which one is the contact person in case of an emergency? Hence 'ICE' (In Case of Emergency) Campaign

The concept of 'ICE' is catching on quickly. It is a method of contact during emergency situations. As cell (mobile) phones are carried by the majority of the population, all you need to do is store the number of a contact person or persons who should be contacted during emergency under the name 'ICE' ( In Case Of Emergency).

The idea was thought up by a paramedic who found that when he went to the scenes of accidents, there were always mobile phones with patients, but they didn't know which number to call. He therefore thought that it would be a good idea if there was a nationally recognized name for this purpose. In an emergency situation, Emergency Service personnel and hospital Staff would be able to quickly contact the right person by simply dialing the number you have stored as 'ICE.'

For more than one contact name simply enter ICE1, ICE2 and ICE3 etc. A great idea that will make a difference!

In the wee hours of this morning, I wondered what I would comment on for my "blog." Reading my many messages (before my first cup of green tea), I saw the merit of the above words (in an e-mail advertisement). Example: It takes discipline to build a network marketing business. I spent two hours last night, on the phone, listening to a successful marketer share details regarding creative Internet tools. I could have been watching TV or playing Taipei.

I spent years "climbing the family tree." I was disciplined, I completed my project and published Frantz Families--Kith & Kin. I feel it was a personal achievement. Salt On a Wound

I found the following information under the caption Food Porn in a little publication called Nutrition Action Healthletter, Dec. 2008.

"Sweet and salty, a twist on hot chocolate." That's how the Starbucks Web site describes its new Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate, which is "topped with whipped cream, a swirl of caramel and a sprinkle of our sea salt topping...."

That Starbucks! Always looking out for our [health] interest. Another company might stick with just one hot 500-plus-calorie beverage that delivers a day's saturated fat and sugar (its grande Signature Hot Chocolate).

Not the coffee giant. Why stop with a Big Mac's worth of bad stuff when you can add some salt to stir up our blood pressure??

Wherever You Are, Type! It doesn't matter if you're on the road, in your home, or at the library. Good News - Bad News

Thanks to the Internet, I have been reconciled with my brother. We lost touch with one another over six years ago. (A web business named Reunion alerted us to one another's search and pocketed about $100.) That's the "Good News." My brother's health is deteriorating; that's the "Bad News." This makes me extremely grateful for my apparent lack of ailments (I confess that I'm aware that there may be unseen problems). For over thirty years, I have been interested in health and nutrition.
