New research shows vitamin D slashes risk of cancers by 77 percent; cancer industry refuses to support cancer prevention

(Natural News) Exciting new research conducted at the Creighton University School of Medicine in Nebraska has revealed that supplementing with vitamin D and calcium can reduce your risk of cancer by an astonishing 77 percent. This includes breast cancer, colon cancer, skin cancer and other forms of cancer. This research provides strong new evidence that vitamin D is the single most effective medicine against cancer, far outpacing the benefits of any cancer drug known to modern science.

The study involved 1,179 healthy women from rural Nebraska. One group of women was given calcium (around 1500 mg daily) and vitamin D (1100 IU daily) while another group was given placebo. Over four year, the group receiving the calcium and vitamin D supplements showed a 60 percent decrease in cancers. Considering just the last three years of the study reveals an impressive 77 percent reduction in cancer due to supplementation. (The full press release of this study is included below. It provides more details about the findings.)

Note that these astonishing effects were achieved on what many nutritionists consider to be a low dose of vitamin D. Exposure to sunlight, which creates even more vitamin D in the body, was not tested or considered, and the quality of the calcium supplements was likely not as high as it could have been (it was probably calcium carbonate and not high-grade calcium malate, aspartate or similar forms). What does all this mean? It means that if you take high-quality calcium supplements and get lots of natural sunlight exposure or take premium vitamin D supplements (such as those made from fish oil), you could easily have a greater reduction than the 77 percent reduction recorded in this study.

American Cancer Society opposes vitamin D
This research on vitamin D is such good news that the American Cancer Society, of course, had to say something against it. An ACS spokesperson, Marji McCullough, strategic director of nutritional epidemiology for the American Cancer Society, flatly stated that nobody should take supplements to prevent cancer.

If it seems surprising to you that the American Cancer Society -- which claims to be against cancer -- would dissuade people from taking supplements that slash their cancer risk by 77 percent, then you don't know much about the ACS. In my opinion, the ACS is an organization that actually prevents prevention and openly supports the continuation of cancer as a way to boost its power and profits. The ACS is the wealthiest non-profit in America and has very close ties to pharmaceutical companies, mammography equipment companies and other corporations that profit from cancer. Notice the name, too: It isn't the American Anti-Cancer Society, it's the American Cancer Society! What they really stand for is right in the name!

Click here to read more about the ACS and its financial ties to chemical companies, pharmaceutical companies and radiology equipment manufacturers.

The cancer industry is a multi-billion dollar industry, and I've written extensively about the criminal organizations that protect and promote the industry. Just about everything the public is told about cancer by these cancer institutions is a lie. Those "race for the cure" cancer walks are a complete scam (they really aren't searching for any way to prevent cancer or cure cancer, they're only searching for new patented drugs to profit from cancer).

This research on vitamin D is a huge threat to the cancer industry profit mongers because it reveals a way to prevent cancer for free -- by seeking natural sunlight exposure and letting your skin manufacture your own powerful anti-cancer medicine (vitamin D). The idea that the cancer industry could lose 80% of its patients due to widespread education about vitamin D and sunlight scares the living daylights out of the cancer industry. Billions of dollars in cancer profits are at stake here, so the pro-cancer groups have to do everything they can to discredit vitamin D by creating doubt and confusion. The degree of dishonesty at work here is almost unbelievable to those who don't really know what's happening in the cancer industry.

Vitamin D Halts Growth of Breast Cancer Tumors

(NaturalNews) For the past 18 months, I've been working on building a new research library consisting of over 1200 books on natural health topics. Through some rather advanced technologies that took me far longer to build than I originally anticipated, I'm now able to locate and collect, within minutes, paragraphs on any combination of topics from among these 1200 books.

For example, today I wanted to research "Vitamin D" and "Breast Cancer." This produced a collection of well over 650 quotations on the subject from the various sources in my private library. A small sampling of those results are shown below.

The information you'll find in here is fascinating! You'll learn that vitamin D cream can be rubbed directly on tumors to make them vanish. You'll also learn how resveratrol can be used to amplify the results of vitamin D. There are also explanations on how vitamin D can be used to greatly reduce breast cancer cases in America, Canada, the UK and elsewhere.

I'll be using this tool in a big way here on NaturalNews from now on, bringing you research on herbs, nutrients, natural cures and many other topics. Each article here saves you the equivalent of hundreds of hours of time you might normally have to spend searching through books to find answers on the health topics that concern you.

To protect the authors and publishers of these books, we do several things: 1) All books are fully referenced and cited with the author's name. 2) Each book links to an Amazon.com link where readers can buy the book (so this citation of the book actually helps increase sales of the book, which benefits the author and publisher). 3) We LIMIT the quotes from any one book so that the amount of information cited from each book falls under Fair Use provisions. 4) We provide a second book analysis page that shows the keyword concepts used throughout the book, along with another link for purchasing the book.

In this way, we help NaturalNews readers get a hint of all the great information in these books while protecting the copyrights and promoting the interests of the authors. Please support these authors by purchasing the books mentioned below.

Here's the research we found on vitamin D and breast cancer:

The Experts Speak: Vitamin D and Breast Cancer
This activated form of vitamin D causes "cellular differentiation" — essentially the opposite of cancer. The following evidence indicates that vitamin D might have a protective role against breast cancer:
• Synthetic vitamin D-like molecules have prevented the equivalent of breast cancer in animals.
• Activated vitamin D appears to have antiestrogenic activity.
• Both sunlight and dietary exposure to vitamin D have correlated with a reduced risk of breast cancer.

Results of one small study suggested that body stores of vitamin D may be associated with survival chances in women with advanced breast cancer. "Thirteen women with normal or high levels of active vitamin D survived the 6-month test period but, sadly, in those with low levels, 5 out of 13 died within 6 months," said Professor Barbara Mawer of the Manchester Royal Infirmary in central England.

A study comparing the health habits of 133 breast cancer patients with women who did not have the disease found that exposure to sunlight lowered the risk of breast cancer by 30 to 40% or more.

...when the same researchers looked at actual vitamin D levels, they found a 43 percent reduction in risk of breast cancer among women younger than 60 when comparing the highest levels of vitamin D (greater than 40) to lowest (less than 20). These findings are consistent with findings that cite a lower risk of breast cancer with increased ultraviolet light exposure, which means higher vitamin D levels are protective. Furthermore, researchers find higher activated vitamin D levels in women with less invasive and/or less advanced breast cancer.

Two equally effective sources of vitamin D in humans are derived from plant ergosterol, which is converted to ergocalciferol (vitamin D2) and cholecalciferol (vitamin D3) by the action of sunlight on the skin. The body uses vitamin D3 for normal immune system function, to control cellular growth, and to absorb calcium from the digestive tract. Vitamin D3 can inhibit the growth of malignant melanoma, breast cancer, leukemia, and mammary tumors in laboratory animals. Vitamin D3 can also inhibit angiogenesis, the growth of new blood vessels that permit the spread of cancer cells through the body.

Why are smart people so ignorant about health, vaccines and vitamin D? (part three)

(NaturalNews) This is the third and final part of a three-part article series. Part one is available at http://www.naturalnews.com/026843_health_food_nutrition.html... and part two is available at http://www.naturalnews.com/026851_nutrition_health_cancer.html...

Solutions
Ultimately, what's more important than teaching people nutritional knowledge is teaching people the skills of thinking for themselves. A population of independent thinkers would naturally embrace knowledge of nutritional remedies and natural cures. They would naturally resist the FDA's pro-drug propaganda, and they would be able to more readily recognize the value of safe, effective and low-cost natural medicine.

The reason why this isn't happening right now in modern society is obvious when you realize that people are not trained to THINK, they are trained to follow orders.

This is especially true with doctors, where the art and craft of medicine has been stolen away from well-meaning physicians by state and federal bureaucrats who wish to centralize all the medical decision making. They want doctors to be robotic enforcers of a centrally-planned medical agenda, not local decision-makers operating with autonomy.

In today's health care reform debate, for example, all the big players want to dictate to doctors how they should make their decisions -- insurance companies, drug companies, state governments and the federal government. Nobody wants to empower doctors with the ability to make reasonable decisions based on human compassion and necessary medical care, because that would cost too much (and it might not involve monopoly-priced pharmaceuticals).

But it isn't only doctors who are taught to abandon independent thinking: It's all of us. Through our conformist, dictatorial public education system and incessant television programming, we are all taught to cast away independent thought and conform with the masses.

Why we are genetically programmed to follow the herd
This tendency, in fact, is genetically programmed behavior among not just humans, but many other species. It's actually a shortcut survival strategy for quick decision making. If you're standing in a forest, for example, and a stampede of 100 people run towards you, screaming in fear, you may not know what they are afraid of, but in the back of your mind, your brain concludes "Well, one hundred people can't all be wrong. I'm gonna run too!" And you turn around and run in the same direction they are running, oblivious to any reason why.

Following the masses as a decision-making shortcut pays off much of the time, but it misleads us when the masses have been misdirected. And the masses, it turns out, are incredibly easy to misdirect through propaganda, advertising and deliberate disinfo campaigns.

In fact, I would say that on all the big issues of our modern society -- health, economics, the environment, politics, etc. -- the masses have been deliberately misdirected to pursue beliefs and actions that serve only the interests of those who covet profits and power. Thus, using the convenient mental shortcut of following the masses in modern society is a sure recipe for engaging in actions that betray your own personal interests. Much of modern advertising, for example, could be accurately described as a campaign to convince individual consumers to make purchasing decisions that go against their own self interest. (This is especially true in the banking and credit card industries.)

Why are so many smart people so ignorant about their own health, vaccines and vitamin D?

(NaturalNews)
A heart disease patient of late
Had an IQ of 168.
His brain was immense
But it lacked common sense
And it never engaged when he ate.
- by the Health Ranger

As an observer of human behavior, one of the most fascinating things I've ever witnessed is really smart people dying of diseases that are easily preventable through basic nutrition (vitamin D, plant juices, targeted supplements, superfoods, etc.). I know doctors dying of cancer who take chemotherapy over vitamin D supplements. I know members of MENSA who are killing themselves with junk foods and diabetes. I know extremely intelligent attorneys and physicists who are among the smartest people in their respective fields; but when it comes to basic health, they're completely ignorant.

In fact, if you look around at all the "smart" people you know, you're likely to find the vast majority of them are incredibly ignorant when it comes to their own health. They know nothing about basic nutrition, the benefits of superfoods or the dangers of pharmaceuticals. They eat processed junk foods, dairy products and food products contaminated with pesticides and toxic chemicals. They may be the smartest people in the world in their labs or offices, but when it comes to their own bodies, they are among the most ignorant people on the planet.

How can this be? (Click here to read the rest of the article.)

Why are so many smart people so ignorant about their own health, vaccines and vitamin D? (part two)

(NaturalNews) This is the second part of a three-part article series. To read part one (recommended), visit: http://www.naturalnews.com/026843_h...

Enforcing nutritional ignorance
Powerful corporations, of course, require the services of oppressive government to enforce nutritional ignorance across the population. In the USA, the Food and Drug Administration is the primary enforcer of nutritional ignorance.

The FDA, as most NaturalNews readers well know, makes one of its primary missions the destruction of knowledge about nutrition and natural remedies. This is accomplished by outlawing any honest speech about nutrition from supplement companies, even going as far as threatening them with arrest and criminal prosecution if they dare link to scientific studies about nutrition (http://www.naturalnews.com/019366.html).

Meanwhile, the FDA openly approves health claims on processed food products sold by powerful corporations. This is designed to convince consumers that junk foods are healthful foods, even while healthful foods can make no claims whatsoever about their health benefits.

The FTC also gets in the game with its own brand of censorship, arresting and imprisoning owners of companies that offer natural cancer treatments based on good science. That's why no real cancer cures are offered in the U.S. anymore -- all the scientists who know the subject have either been imprisoned or run out of the country.

Medical journals also play a part in the ongoing nutritional ignorance of the masses by promoting intellectually dishonest information about the supposed benefits of pharmaceuticals while attacking natural remedies and ignoring nutritional cures.

The disease non-profit groups also play a big part in the nutritional ignorance scam. Note, carefully, how the cancer non-profits dare not teach people to take vitamin D supplements? If they did, cancer would cease to be such a big problem and those non-profits would lose membership (and power). So they continue the grand charade of ignoring known cancer cures while claiming they're still "searching for a cure."

I've even seen lots of smart people jogging along in those "race for the cure" events -- which are of course just a fundraising fraud. When I've asked these people where the money goes that they're donating, they just shrug their shoulders and say, "I dunno. I guess it goes to find a cure!"

These are very smart people, mind you, who have been sucked into this sucker's fundraising trap. They have no clue where the money is going (hint: almost all of it goes to cancer "recruiting" and screening efforts to scare more women into chemotherapy) and yet they jog along with all the other sheeple, somehow believing they are doing good in the world.

In all, these institutions and power centers accomplish something quite remarkable: The complete nutritional ignorance of virtually the entire population.

And with that, they shore up their own profit centers by keeping the American people ignorant and nutritionally illiterate.

Little Guy Teardrop Trailer Travels--Biltmore Estate

The Interstate is a blessing--and a headache!! Yesterday I think it took me 45 minutes to get to Panera on surface streets. Twenty minutes today--using the Interstate part way. Thirteen miles today; sixteen miles yesterday. If you have been following my travels on the Blue Ridge Parkway, you know I L-O-V-E the back roads and I don't mind driving 25 miles per hour!! I really get nervous on the Interstate when cars and trucks are on my back bumper and I'm driving 60. No thanks, I don't want to drive any faster!!

So I'm back at Panera for free WiFi and the Manager recognized me from yesterday. I've checked my e-mail and appreciate messages from Nancy, and Michael. They were responding to the link in
Teardrop Tribune.

It was 61 degrees (outside) when I got up at 6:30 this morning. I was in the shower shortly thereafter--and no heat in that building!! The block walls are about seven feet tall with screen up to the roof. The water was an ideal temperature but I had to keep pushing the button every twenty seconds to continue having a flow of water. (I'm not complaining!!)

Yesterday, I left Panera at 12 noon. First stop a nearby "Batteries Plus" (that I saw from Panera's front window). I needed a new cell phone battery and had not been able to get at Walmart or Radio Shack. Then across the street to Earth Fare for some organics and nutritional supplements. (I don't have the luxury of this kind of market near Shelby.)

I made a wrong turn en route to Biltmore Estate and ended up driving through "Town of Biltmore Forest." The homes were breathtakingly beautiful!!

It was 2 o'clock when I purchased my ticket ($55.00) at the outskirts of the property... with 2:30 reservation to enter Biltmore house. After a long winding drive, arrived in the parking lot at 2:12. I could have ridden a shuttle bus to the entrance but chose to walk from the parking lot. It was really impressive to come out of the woods and see that massive structure. After I took a picture, a very nice gentleman asked if I'd like him to take my picture with the house in the background. "Yes!! How thoughtful of you!!"

This was the first day in many weeks that I did not wear my pedometer (simply "forgot"). I am not exaggerating; I think I walked two miles in the house!! I purchased the "audio" description ($10.00) so I heard all the interesting information as I walked through the rooms. I loved it!! Finally, after two years in North Carolina.... In fact, I loved it so much I purchased the "365 Day Pass" for another $40.00. There is so much more to see and I don't want to pay a single-day fee again!! I especially want to see the decorations, and lights, for about six weeks before-and-after Christmas. (Last week I sold the
Blue Ox bike rack; yesterday I spent the money.)

Admission includes a tour of the Winery (very impressive) and samples of their wine. Confession: Yes, I had about two tablespoons of "Festival of Flowers" rose' wine. That was in remembrance of the Festival of Flowers that I intended to see--and didn't. (With my 365 day pass, I can return next Spring for the annual event.) ~~ There is a restaurant, and "The Grill" at the Winery. It looked so inviting to sit and eat under the arbor, in the totally charming setting BUT I deemed it "too expensive." Two items that would have qualified for my vegan lifestyle: A garden salad $6., and a garden burger $13. I returned to the car and ate a few whole grain Wheat Thins to get rid of the "buzz" from the wine (LOL). ~~ Back in camp at 8 PM.

Much more that I could write. When I return to Shelby, I'll write in more detail and upload the pictures. ~~ It's almost 11 o'clock; I'm heading back to Biltmore Estate.

Little Guy Teardrop Trailer Travels--Chatterbox

Chatterbox--that's me!! It is so easy for me to carry on a conversation with people if they ask me a question, or comment on Little Guy. In the Ladies Room, early morning, several campers asked me about the teardrop trailer. I never tire of telling about my travels, and how much I enjoy my small but efficient "home away from home."

On-the-other-hand, some people have all the luxuries of home!! When I finally got to the parking lot near the lobby of Tom Johnson Camping Center (about 10:00) an enormous Holiday Rambler was ready to depart. I recognized the unit..., I recognized Jerry and Betty..., and rushed to request a picture. The Blue Ox--with their bikes--looked perfect and I'm so glad "Blue" has a new home and folks who appreciate it and will use it. (
Click here to read my earlier blog re: Blue Ox.)

(10:35 AM) More later?! It is an awesome, gorgeous, fantastically beautiful day!! I am not going to sit around the lobby (using free WiFi) when I can explore the area.

(5:15 PM) I went to Marion--with nothing particular in mind. The Main Street had been turned into a large "Yard Sale." Unfortunately, by the time I got there most vendors were packing up!! But I walked the street and looked at the remaining items. I bought three beautiful, large tomatoes for one dollar, and three ears of corn for one dollar. ~~ En route back to camp I stopped at a market for ice--and a small package of mixed salad greens. ~~ In camp I enjoyed my salad, and tomato, alternately with conversation when curious campers came to see Little Guy. News flash!! It was 109 degrees in the trailer when I returned... and opened it up!! And one window had been open so imagine how hot if absolutely no outside air!! ~~ Later I drove up to the lobby so I could continue this blog--and take a shower. Well, more conversation (this time about holistic health and nutritional supplements). It was almost five when I started taking a shower in the beautiful facility. I was interrupted by an employee saying the building was being secured and I needed to remove my computer. So I learned the lobby is not always open and available for campers. I'm typing this with the computer on the counter in the beautiful Ladies Room. No problem because there IS an outside entrance for the campers.

The Michael Jackson Diet That Could Have Saved Him from Death by Western Medicine

http://free-stock-photos.com/

(NaturalNews) There's no question that Michael Jackson was killed by western medicine. Autopsies reveal a devastating pattern of drug injections, bone mineral loss (he suffered rib fractures when ad-ministered CPR) and hair loss. When he died, his stomach contained not food, but half-digested pharmaceuticals(http://www.s2smagazine.com/node/1206).

As stated in a previous NaturalNews article (http://www.naturalnews.com/026517_Michael_Jackson_drugs_pharmas.html), I believe Michael Jackson was chemically abused by his handlers in some sort of twisted, pharmaceutically-powered profit motive. But what, if anything, could Jackson have done differently with his health to have avoided this tragic death while pursuing many more decades of healthy songwriting and public performance?

For starters, let's state the obvious: Performing in public is excruciatingly stressful, especially if done on a regular basis. Dancing and singing on stage takes its toll on anyone, and for it to be pursued, it must be accompanied by a serious commitment to a healthy diet.

Here's the diet Michael Jackson could have pursued to keep himself alive and vibrant while continuing to share his musical gifts with the world.

The Michael Jackson diet that could have been
• 90% plants, 10% meats (if desired)

A healthy diet must be based on plants to begin with. I don't know if Michael Jackson was a vegetarian, but he would have done well to pursue a primarily plant-based diet. If he wished to eat meats, adding a small amount of omega-3 rich fish to his diet could have been helpful. At least half of his plant intake should have consisted of raw, living plants (sprouts, for example).

• Fresh raw superfood smoothie every day

To keep up with his performance schedule, Jackson would have needed at least one major infusion each day of high-density nutrients in the form of a superfood smoothie. There are many recipes he could have followed, and here are some elements he could have included in the recipes: Raw avocados, raw cacao powder, high-end superfood powders (like Pure Synergy, Boku Superfood or LivingFuel), organic celery, raw cruciferous vegetables, fresh wheatgrass juice and much more.

• For sustained energy during the day (coupled with healthy sleep at night), Jackson could have consumed bee pollen, cordyceps (and other medicinal mushrooms like Chaga), rhodiola and even raw buckwheat granola with homemade, raw almond milk.

• To increase his bone density and greatly improve his emotional state, Jackson could have pursued a daily dose of sunlight exposure, even in the privacy of a courtyard in his own mansion. The sunlight would have radically improved his bone health while helping eliminate the need for all the dangerous psychiatric medications he had been taking.

• Instead of taking pharmaceuticals to manage his sleep cycles, Jackson could have used sunlight exposure combined with natural dietary supplements to get him on the right track: Chamomile, melatonin or even Kava Kava (once his liver function had improved).

• Jackson should have adamantly refused to consume any sodas or caffeine (due to their bone-wasting effects), and he no doubt needed to greatly increase the alkalinity of his diet through the consumption of greens, spring water and fresh vegetable juices ("Juice Feasting").

• Because of the huge pharmaceutical burden that had been placed upon him, Jackson no doubt needed a huge liver cleanse, which could have been accomplished with the help of the cleansing products from Dr. Ed Group (http://www.ghchealth.com/) or Jon Barron (http://www.baselinenutritionals.com/), or many other cleansing experts.

This list, of course, could go on for days. With the amount of money Jackson had at his command, the natural world could have been his medicine chest. Unlike many consumers, Jackson could easily afford to eat a 100% organic, custom-prepared meal three times a day, even if it included expensive wildcrafted ingredients.

And yet, sadly, it appears Jackson's medical advisors offered him no such advice. While we can't know what conversations went on between Jackson and his doctors, from the autopsy report we can certainly gather than his doctors were all too eager to pursue the pharmaceutical injection route rather than insist that Jackson try something more natural to resolve his underlying health issues.

Choose your medical advice carefully
We can't blame Jackson for all this, in other words. He may have been surrounded by precisely the wrong people -- those who kept pumping him full of chemicals rather than recommending real food. The fact that Jackson died with half-digested pills in his stomach rather than real food is a strong indication of the way he lived his life for the past few years. His doctors gave him chemicals, not food. And he paid the ultimate price for following their dangerous advice.

Jackson's death teaches us all a hugely important lesson: When it comes to health, be careful of whose advice you choose to follow. If you follow the advice of a conventional medical doctor, you, too, may die with a stomach full of half-digested pills. You may live your final years in excruciating pain, watching your body waste away in the mirror, a victim to the chemical agenda of the pharmaceutical industry (or the cancer industry).

Or, should you choose a different path, you can live a life of astounding longevity, much like Peter Ragnar (http://www.roaringlionpublishing.com/). You can reclaim your health from the chemical pushers, ultimately living a far higher quality of life than even one of the most famous celebrities in the world.

Health is more important than wealth
Jackson, you see, had fame and fortune. But without his health, all the rest was virtually meaningless. YOU can achieve a degree of health that exceeds what Michael Jackson experienced, and you don't have to be a super-famous celebrity to pull it off. Good health, in fact, is ridiculously simple and affordable. It requires no doctors, no pharmaceuticals and no suffering. It's based on the natural principles of human biology and Mother Nature, and it is within the reach of every single person living today (including celebrities).

Michael Jackson was apparently never taught these principles, and he was no doubt "protected" by his handlers in an attempt to isolate him from many outside influences. But you, on the other hand, have no such barriers.

Consider your lack of celebrity status a blessing. It gives you the freedom of not being hounded by the media or pressured by your handlers. It allows you to go shopping in a health food store in a state of relative anonymity, where you can buy your foods in private, without a gang of tabloid photographers assaulting your senses with camera flashes. YOU, in other words, have opportunities to live your life in a healthy way that Michael Jackson could never have accomplished. He was too famous, too wealthy and too valuable to his handlers. Jackson had neither his privacy nor his health. But you can have both.

And I beg each of you, please take every opportunity you have to be healthy and long-lived, regardless of whatever level of economic abundance or personal fame you may have achieved. There's a lot more to life than money and fame, and even if you manage to become the most famous person in the world, dying at age fifty is a life cut far too short. [Bold emphasis by Lorraine.]

Here at NaturalNews, we wish Michael Jackson's soul a safe journey to whatever the universe holds for him next, and we hope that his fans might learn from his health mistakes and pursue healthier lifestyles based on food and natural medicine instead of destructive chemicals. By learning from Jackson's mistakes, we can honor him one more time, even when his physical body is no longer with us.

Global Domains International

For over thirty years I have been involved with various Network Marketing business' (starting with Amway in the 70's). Periodically I find, and join, a company that promises additional income (specifically in the health and wellness industry). The major benefit of a "home based business" (for me) is income tax deductions (plus I get my nutritionals at wholesale price). Over the last eight months I've attempted to build my Max International business on the Internet (because I was so sick I rarely left my apartment). I've commented (on my "blog") about Internet scams that touched my life. None the less, I honestly believe an individual can build a business from their computer in the privacy of their home. Recently I was introduced to another business with big promises and, fortunately, small start up cost. "Small start up cost" is an operative word with me after spending $38. for one... and $197. for another, and $2,985. for Dotless Domain.

I did my Google search regarding
this company and haven't found numerous complaints. Affiliates with the company have high praise. Yes, I signed up!! I had nothing to loose because the first seven days are free!! I can explore... and (if it isn't right for me) cancel. If I want to continue... it will only cost $10. per month. I can afford $10. a month!! (I was doing basic arithmetic the other day and it will cost me $299. to join Fortune Hi-Tech Marketing and over $100. a month thereafter. Perhaps additional fees that I'm unaware of while still on the "outside" of the FHTM business.)

If you are curious, and need another source of income, I invite you to visit
Global Domains International. An extremely long video provides all the details. I've never been a "high pressure" salesman. I didn't "sell" a $759. EcoQuest Fresh Air purifier to someone who was skeptical. I didn't "sell" Max nutritionals to someone who questioned the value of the supplements. (I didn't sell refrigerators to the Eskimos in Alaska!!) Watch the video and see if it is something you might be interested in. Let me know what you think?!?!

From the Internet...

Has anyone heard of Global Domains International? #8
Mar 6th, 2005

Hi all,

Just thought I'd let everyone know I've joined. I have recently got myself a domain name through DOT WS (GDI) and have started building my website already. My main website is a .COM but I thought I'd have a link to my .WS on it. It seems like an interesting Business Op. I do not think of it as a Pyramid Scheme as I have had plenty of experience with these little buggers in the past and I am therefore very cautious. It is a Multi-Level Marketing Business though - some are bad, some are good. It does seem to benefit both parties though! The buyer (like I originally was) benefits from paying $10 a month and gets a domain name, advice on building a website, all the tools (incl. an Online Site Builder), and a Business Op. at the same time... and the seller gets another downline. I didn't think that was too bad!? To sum up - I think it's worth giving it a go and I will keep you all up-to-date on my progress, if you find this useful. Cheers, Rick Higgers.

Understand the power of healthy chocolate!

I received this with an e-mail. Check for yourself?!?! Quite honestly, I don't eat chocolate but I am the exception.

How would you like to change your life and circumstances? You can achieve more freedom, more time with the people you love, and more peace of mind simply by helping people to understand the power of healthy chocolate! Please take your time exploring the information available on this site ....

Again I say "I am the exception." Saturday, a friend offered me an awesome-looking chocolate chip cookie. I could just as easily eaten... and it probably would not have damaged my health in any way!! However, I've felt led--of the Lord--to follow a "vegan" diet based on Genesis 1:29. Most people would say that my diet of large green salads, and other veggies, and fruit, is boring. In fact, at Church yesterday, a friend said "You've lived this long, a little meat isn't going to hurt you." (Just like "a little bit of sin won't hurt you"????) I eat a healthy diet (as I understand it) so that I may better serve my Lord. I also take nutritional supplements to meet any possible deficiency in my diet. Beautiful North Carolina !!

Arrived home in the late afternoon; total of 243 miles. Even with an occasional light rain, the weather was delightful!! The scenery was easy-on-the-eyes. Very blue skies, fluffy white clouds, beautiful Spring-green trees, Dogwoods in bloom.... I saw a smorgasbord of colors!! Even "California" Poppies along Interstate 77. ~~ The meeting was informative. ~~ I spent the night in my little Teardrop trailer, in a Wal-Mart parking lot.

Dear God, I pray for the cure of cancer. Amen

All you are asked to do is keep this circulating. Even if it's only to one more person.

In memory of anyone you know who has been struck down by cancer or is still living with it.

A Candle Loses Nothing by Lighting Another Candle...

Received as an e-mail (from my brother, suffering from cancer) and want to share it with you. Actually, there is a "cure" for cancer but if the medical profession, and pharmacy companies, promoted a cure they would go out of business. For more information, read my earlier blogs.

Lost in cyberspace ?

Don't search for me via In My Humble Opinion (IMHO). You'll never find me!! I'm somewhere beyond number 2000 on a Google search. Better to search Lorraine Frantz Edwards because IMHO comes up 8th plus lots of other links to references regarding my earlier devotion to family history. Why am I writing this blog?? Because I hoped, and prayed, that I could establish a health and nutrition business on the web. I'm lost in cyber-space; nobody can find me and my Max supplements. As you may recall (details on earlier blogs) I attempted to "buy" the tools to rocket my "key words" to the top of Google and Yahoo search engines. That was the $2,985. Dotless Domain scam. Then I attended the StoresOnline seminar and (by the grace of God) escaped a $6,000. scam. I've "invested" in several other less expensive marketing tools and they, too, seem to benefit the seller and not the buyer. One in particular, regarding Daegan Smith, is also listed as a "scam." Read the many complaints on Scam.com. I would have to double check my bank statements for the total amount spent; Daegan Smith was debiting my account because I failed to read the fine print!! and failed to scrutinize my statement for two months!!

Are you screaming at me?? Are you wondering why I was so gullible?? By nature, I am very trusting!! I live by "Do unto others as you would have others do unto you." I've given the shirt off my back if someone needed it--or someone admired it. (Many years ago I was the victim of a $40,000. loss because a licensed financial advisor manipulated the funds to his advantage!!) I never made any money as an EcoQuest distributor; I have an inventory of air purifiers that may never sell (not even at a yard sale or flea market). Complaints about EcoQuest can be found at
Consumer Affairs and Rip Off Reports. Perhaps you've read my article regarding my acute ozone poisoning. While I'm confessing the magnitude of my foolishness: This time last year I was a distributor of Vemma and Verve. Likewise, almost no sales and absolutely no support from my sponsor and upline organization. That, too, is considered a scam if you do a Google search. Read a few of the complaints regarding Vemma.

As evidenced by the major subject material of this blog: I believe in holist medicine and nutritional supplements. I've been involved with sales of health products for over thirty years (everything from Amway to Yurika). But I've never made any money!! What's wrong with me?? What's wrong with my approach to network marketing?? I've devoted long hours to the business; I've invested thousands of dollars--and I was supportive of my downline distributors!! (My distributors quit because they weren't making any money.)

Being even moderately successful... has been important because I am an old lady ("young" old lady, LOL) that would like to live in a residential community where I'd have assistance when (if) I need it. Even with my faith in God, sometimes I'm afraid of being alone. (Especially when I was so very sick with acute ozone poisoning!! And several years ago when I fell the split my skull [reminiscent of recent Natasha Richardson accident]. Or the broken arm and problems that created!!)

Our society is so caught up in winning, we forget that most of the great men and women in history have, at one time or another, failed at something. Often repeatedly, and discouragingly. Resveratrol is "Nature's Medicine" for Cancer, Heart Disease and Much More

Thursday, April 02, 2009 by: Mike Adams, the Health Ranger, NaturalNews Editor

(NaturalNews) Just how good is resveratrol at preventing cancer and heart disease? It's so good that drug companies are trying to mimic its molecules in order to claim they're "creating" a new drug to prevent heart disease.

But this is Mother Nature's miracle drug -- only it's not a drug. It's a molecule synthesized by plants for protecting themselves! And it turns out the same molecule can protect you from cancer, heart disease and a whole lot more.

I wanted you to read about the amazing benefits of resveratrol, so I put together this collection of quotes from top authors in the field. Read it to learn the truth about resveratrol that the drug companies and the FDA hope you never find out...

Authors' Quotes on Resveratrol [I, Lorraine, only included one of over 50 quotes.]

Of late, considerable attention has been devoted by scientists to the antioxidant properties of red wine's phenolic constituent, resveratrol, as an important contributor. White wine contains much less of this antioxidant, and therefore it has fewer health benefits. resveratrol, unfortunately is not in green tea. However, green tea may offer even greater potential for health protection, since it not only includes the flavonoids active in red wine but also includes even more powerfully protective flavonoids that are unique to it.

How to Survive Allergy Season

By Alice Daniel, Special to LifeScript;
Published March 20, 2009

Ugh, that sneezing, coughing, itchy eyes and maddening post-nasal drip, drip, drip. You need allergy relief. But with aisles of products in the drugstore, how do you know which is right for you? We turned to the experts for answers…

Trying to decipher drug labels can clog your brain even more. You’ll see products containing antihistamines or decongestants. Some combine both – and others throw in a pain reliever as well. Do you need one? Two? All? Here’s what you need to know: ... Click here for the entire article. I've extrapolated information regarding the "natural approach."

Home Remedies
What if you want a more natural approach?

Some allergy sufferers swear by sinus rinses that irrigate and moisturize your nasal passages.

“Saline rinses may actually be safer than medications because there are no side effects and you don’t have to think about how the rinse will react with other medications you’re taking,” Kinzy says.

Rinses involve a saline solution poured into your nose through a teapot-like device called a neti pot, available at most health-food stores. NeilMed is one popular kit with packets of saline powder and a neti pot.

“If you have a lot of allergies, rinse daily,” she says.

You’ll also find supplements and foods that will naturally fight allergies. Among Cohen’s recommendations:

Quercetin: This strong antihistamine is found in supplements and some foods, including capers, apples, green tea, and many red-skinned fruits and wine. Follow label directions, or take 200 to 500 mg one to three times daily, Cohen says.

Bromelain: It’s found in pineapples and dietary supplements, and is “fantastic for reducing inflammation and allergies.”

Mullein tea: “The herb is known to ease respiratory disorders like bronchitis, asthma, chest congestion and allergies. It helps to thin mucus,” Cohen says. You can find it in most health-food stores. Steep it in water for five minutes before drinking, about once or twice a day.

Aloe vera juice: Cohen loves this juice, which has a mild antihistamine effect, “plus dozens of other wonderful healing effects on the body. It’s also very affordable.” Her recommendation? “Lily of the Desert brand because it is certified organic and it is ‘whole leaf,’ so it has all the aloe nutrients.” Drink about 2 ounces daily, straight (it’s tasteless) or mix with other brands.

German chamomile: This is a powerful anti-inflammatory and “a wonderful essential oil to use if you have allergies,” she says. Steam your face with hot water containing a few drops of the oil.

Spirulina: “Spirulina sparks the production of your body's natural fighter cells, such as T cells, B cells, macrophages, and anti-cancer 'natural' killer cells,” Cohen says. “If it can regulate immune function then allergy symptoms should alleviate too.”

I've skipped several paragraphs but you can read them by clicking here.

Asthma should never be treated with over-the-counter medications. If you’re having any trouble breathing or you feel like an elephant is standing on your chest, see a doctor immediately.

The upshot? You don't have to sneeze your way through life. Although feeling better may require a few stabs at different treatments, you will be able to shut down your body’s waterworks.

Lorraine here: Yes, after many months suffering with an allergy, or asthma, I found the answer. However, I am still very interested in the subject and continue to read articles, and check web links. So many articles, and recommendations, revolve around prescription drugs, and over-the-counter remedies. I was encouraged to see that the author included home remedies. ~~~ I represent a company that sells nutritional supplements. Please check MaxGXL and Max N-Fuze at my web site.

Cholesterol and Heart Disease

What’s the nation’s No. 1 killer? Heart disease. It causes one death every 35 seconds. So protect your heart with these 10 tips to reduce cholesterol from Janet Bond Brill, a registered dietitian and author of Cholesterol Down (Three Rivers Press). Plus, test your heart attack risk...

What’s cholesterol? It’s a type of lipid or fat. In our bodies, it travels through our blood stream in particles called lipo-proteins. Low-density lipoproteins (LDL) are bad cholesterol because they can lead to a buildup of plaque in arteries.

A mass of plaque can narrow your arteries and restrict blood flow – much like trying to sip juice through a clogged straw. Eventually, the plaque ruptures and a blood clot forms, cutting off the flow of blood, oxygen and nutrients to the brain.

Hello, heart attack and stroke!

High-density lipoproteins (HDL), on the other hand, are good cholesterol because they pick up the LDL clogging your arteries and take it to the liver, where it’s processed and eventually excreted.

Chow Down
“Lowering your cholesterol reduces your risk of contracting heart disease and dying from a heart attack,” Brill says.

What you eat can affect the amounts of HDL and LDL flowing through your bloodstream, and Brill has a cholesterol-lowering eating plan that’s tasty and effective.

“My diet is about what you can eat – not what you can’t” she says.

What’s on her list? Try these 8 super-foods:

(Aim to eat all eight daily, and heed the two bonus tips as well. If you follow only half the steps, you’ll only get half the benefits.)

1. Oatmeal
Oats are rich in beta-glucan, a soluble fiber that acts like a sponge to soak up cholesterol.

How to sneak it in: Add cinnamon or dried cranberries to your morning oatmeal for a flavor boost. Oat-bran is a highly concentrated source of beta-glucan, and it’s easy to mix into homemade bread, muffin and pancake batter.

Brill’s daily Rx: 3 grams of beta-glucan, found in a half cup of dry oatmeal or oat bran.

2. Almonds
Almonds contain two powerful antioxidants – vitamin E and flavonoids – which prevent the oxidation of LDL, a precursor to plaque buildup.

How to sneak it in: Eat almonds with their skins, which pack a hefty dose of flavonoids. Stir a handful into yogurt or spread two tablespoons of almond butter on whole-wheat bread.

Brill’s daily Rx: One ounce of dry-roasted, unsalted almonds.

3. Flaxseeds
Flaxseeds contain lignan and soluble fiber, which block the production of LDL and increase your body’s ability to get rid of cholesterol.

How to sneak it in: Eat ground flaxseeds rather than whole ones, because your body can better absorb its nutrients. Brill likes to sprinkle them in her morning bowl of oatmeal.

Brill’s daily Rx: 2 tablespoons of ground flaxseeds.

4. Garlic
Garlic impedes the liver’s ability to make cholesterol.

How to sneak it in: Chop garlic into small pieces to release its flavor. Sauté it with steamed spinach, add it to sauces and soups or purée roasted garlic with cooked potatoes and olive oil for a heart-healthy version of everybody’s favorite: mashed potatoes.

Brill’s daily Rx: One clove and one Kyolic One Per Day Cardiovascular aged garlic extract supplement.

5. Phytosterol-Containing Foods
Phytosterols are a fat found in plant foods such as fruits, nuts, seeds and vegetable oils. They interfere with cholesterol absorption by blocking it from your intestinal cells.

How to sneak it in: Even a vegetarian diet provides no more than 300 to 400 mg of plant sterols a day, well below Brill’s recommendation. Supplement this with foods containing added phytosterols – chocolate bars, margarine, cheese, granola bars and cookies, to name a few – but keep an eye on saturated fat and trans-fat content.

Brill’s daily Rx: 2 to 3 grams of phytosterols a day spread over two meals.

6. Apples
Apples, particularly the skin and outer flesh, are rich in polyphenols, powerful antioxidants that help prevent plaque buildup.

How to sneak it in: Chop, slice or dice ’em, but leave the peel on for maximum health benefits.

Brill’s daily Rx: One apple a day – to keep the doctor away, of course.

7. Beans
Beans contain a special type of soluble fiber that’s fermented in the colon. Healthy bacteria eat the fiber and bean sugars to form short-chain fatty acids, which travel to the liver and hinder LDL cholesterol production.

How to sneak it in: Brill loves Adzuki beans, which are used in Japan to make sweet red bean paste. She also recommends cannelloni beans (try them in Tuscan soups, a type of Italian bean-based soup) and kidney beans, perfect in Southwestern chili.

Brill’s daily Rx: 1/2 cup of legumes (beans, peas or lentils).

8. Soy Protein
Soy protein contains phytoestrogens – compounds that increase the number and effectiveness of LDL cholesterol receptors, improving the liver’s ability to get rid of cholesterol in your bloodstream.

How to sneak it in: Order a soy latte at your favorite coffeehouse, throw tofu into a fruit smoothie, use soy flour when baking, or mix a handful of roasted soy nuts with dried fruit for an energy-boosting trail mix.

Brill’s daily Rx: 20–25 grams.

Diet isn’t your only defense against cholesterol.

“Every step works to lower cholesterol in a specific way,” Brill says. “By combining them all, you get an extremely powerful LDL-lowering multi-pronged approach.”

Here are two of her favorite non-food-related tips:

9. Take Metamucil (Psyllium Husk)
Metamucil contains psyllium husk, a fiber that blocks cholesterol from entering your intestinal cells. It’s “the most powerful LDL-lowering viscous soluble fiber in existence,” Brill says. This fiber soaks up cholesterol so you excrete it rather than absorb it into your intestinal cells.

How to sneak it in: Adults should consume 10 to 25 grams of soluble fiber a day, advises the National Cholesterol Education Program, but most get only 3 to 4 grams.

Brill says you should get half your fiber from a supplement and the rest from food. Take half your daily dose of Metamucil before breakfast and half after dinner to avoid overloading your body on fiber, which can cause gas, constipation or even diarrhea.

Brill’s daily Rx: Work up to 12 capsules a day, for a total of 6 grams of psyllium husk.

Or use the powdered version, which you can mix into water. It varies by product, but most Metamucil powders contain 3.4 grams of psyllium husk per serving.

10. Work Up a Sweat
Brisk exercise speeds up blood flow in your arteries, reducing your chances of inflammation and clogging (two precursors to hardening of your arteries).

How to sneak it in: You don’t have to hit the gym to get some exercise. Clip on a pedometer while you run errands and aim for 10,000 steps a day.

Brill’s daily Rx: 30 minutes of exercise.

Each of the foods and tips mentioned play a crucial role in lowering your cholesterol and keeping your body healthy.

For more on their benefits, and for delicious recipes and meal plans (you'll love the walnut-crusted salmon), get a copy of Cholesterol Down and check out CholesterolDownBook.com.

Instead this message caught my attention among the many incoming e-mail messages. Despite, IMHO, sensible eating habits, I have to be vigilant about controlling my cholesterol. I differ slightly on several points but, overall, I think the "points" have merit.

Acute indoor ozone poisoning from EcoQuest ozone generator

I'm humbled, and gratified, by an email I received today. Another person has suffered from acute indoor ozone poisoning and was encouraged when they found my earlier documentation. I speculate that there are many individuals suffering from exposure to "too much ozone" and their health care professionals have not made the connection. If you are reading this message--and missed the earlier publications--here are three links to investigate: (1) My compiled documentation, (2) a complaint with Consumer Affairs, and (3) a complaint with RipOffReport. Someone who identified themselves as an "employee" added a rebuttal to my RipOffReport saying "Read the manual." Believe me, I did read the manual!! I'm a voracious reader and I'm extremely conscientious about products I sell!! On 3/18/09, "John" added a comment at the Consumer Affairs web site.
