For over thirty years I have been involved with various Network Marketing business' (starting with Amway in the 70's). Periodically I find, and join, a company that promises additional income (specifically in the health and wellness industry). The major benefit of a "home based business" (for me) is income tax deductions (plus I get my nutritionals at wholesale price). Over the last eight months I've attempted to build my Max International business on the Internet (because I was so sick I rarely left my apartment). I've commented (on my "blog") about Internet scams that touched my life. None the less, I honestly believe an individual can build a business from their computer in the privacy of their home. Recently I was introduced to another business with big promises and, fortunately, small start up cost. "Small start up cost" is an operative word with me after spending $38. for one... and $197. for another, and $2,985. for Dotless Domain.
I did my Google search regarding this company and haven't found numerous complaints. Affiliates with the company have high praise. Yes, I signed up!! I had nothing to loose because the first seven days are free!! I can explore... and (if it isn't right for me) cancel. If I want to continue... it will only cost $10. per month. I can afford $10. a month!! (I was doing basic arithmetic the other day and it will cost me $299. to join Fortune Hi-Tech Marketing and over $100. a month thereafter. Perhaps additional fees that I'm unaware of while still on the "outside" of the FHTM business.)
If you are curious, and need another source of income, I invite you to visit Global Domains International. An extremely long video provides all the details. I've never been a "high pressure" salesman. I didn't "sell" a $759. EcoQuest Fresh Air purifier to someone who was skeptical. I didn't "sell" Max nutritionals to someone who questioned the value of the supplements. (I didn't sell refrigerators to the Eskimos in Alaska!!) Watch the video and see if it is something you might be interested in. Let me know what you think?!?!

Has anyone heard of Global Domains International? #8

Hi all,
Just thought I'd let everyone know I've joined. I have recently got myself a domain name through DOT WS (GDI) and have started building my website already. My main website is a .COM but I thought I'd have a link to my .WS on it. It seems like an interesting Business Op. I do not think of it as a Pyramid Scheme as I have had plenty of experience with these little buggers in the past and I am therefore very cautious. It is a Multi-Level Marketing Business though - some are bad, some are good. It does seem to benefit both parties though! The buyer (like I originally was) benefits from paying $10 a month and gets a domain name, advice on building a website, all the tools (incl. an Online Site Builder), and a Business Op. at the same time... and the seller gets another downline. I didn't think that was too bad!? To sum up - I think it's worth giving it a go and I will keep you all up-to-date on my progress, if you find this useful. Cheers, Rick Higgers.

Turbo Tax & Dotless Domain
Why have I linked Turbo Tax and Dotless Domain?? I received my Federal Income Tax refund (automatic deposit to my checking account) and immediately applied it to the $2,985. debt incurred when I foolishly purchased the Dotless Domain SCAM. Because of the current tragic National economic situation, North Carolina is running a month (or more) behind on refunds. When received, that too will be applied to the debt. When, or if, we receive the "Stimulus" money, I'll immediately transfer it to the debt. Sorry, President Obama, I won't be spending big money in the community or at my local Mall (where several stores have gone out of business).
All over the Nation, people are being ripped off (by StoresOnline and Dotless Domain) and states Attorney General, and Better Business Bureau, don't shut them down. It would have been nice to book a cruise (fares are very reasonable) or ______________ (you fill in the blank).

I've been searching the 'net regarding Grant money to start (or promote) my business, etc. I'm being cautious because undoubtedly that is another fertile area for a scam. With a Google search, I found the Government Grants Report web site, with helpful information. Check it out?!?!

Shopify.com as an alternative to StoresOnline & DotlessDomain ??
Searching the Internet, I found Shopify.com and consider it a possible alternative solution to StoresOnline SCAM. I did not find any complaints during a Google search. I'm still reading, and evaluating, but at first glance sounds good. You can try it for "free," there are no set up fees, and Basic is $24. per month, Professional is $59. per month, and Enterprise is $299. per month. During my search for additional information, I found this review by a customer.
~~~~~~~~~~
I'm back with an update to what I wrote earlier (above). I opened a "free" store in less than one hour's time. Really free because I didn't even have to secure my store with a credit card. If I subscribe to one of the programs, I can cancel at any time. As with any program, it takes time to learn how to navigate around. But in less than two hours total time I had some experimental information on the home page, and tested the links. I'm calling my web site PURSUING THE FOUNTAIN OF YOUTH. Check it out at http://pursuinghealth.myshopify.com. "Yes" there's a lot of work needed to improve the appearance!!
Magic Jack - SCAM !!
I just received this as a "full page," bigger than life, email. Until this moment, I had forgotten that I invested over $60. for Magic Jack and it only worked for a few hours. So I visited my new best friend--Google--and found that there are hundreds of complaints about this product, too. Oh, my gosh, are there no legitimate businesses any more?? The ad is misleading because it repeatedly mentions $19.95 per year. Well, on 6/19/08, MagicJack cost me $46.90 for the gadget and one year service. At the same time I paid $19.95 for a second year service. I've only been able to use it a few times for outgoing calls. If someone tries to call me, I can't talk to them because we don't have a viable connection. Read the complaint (on RipOffReport) from one disillusioned customer. That's only one of 143 complaints on RipOffReport.com. Over 130 complaints on ComplaintsBoard.com. Over 20 complaints on ConsumerAffairs.com. Please read my 3/24/09 blog about DotlessDomain Scam, and 3/25/09 blog about StoresOnline Scam. Caveat emptor. Buyer beware!Thursday, March 26, 2009
I love HubPages.com !!
Confession: Until February 9th, I rarely spent any extended length of time on the Internet. I would do an occasional search but it didn't take long to find info on (example) Map Search, or Allergy, or Asthma. Now I confess that I am addicted to searching for information, and exploring various links (I spend hours each day on the 'net). It has opened up exciting new possibilities. Recently I discovered numerous complaints about Dotless Domain. Yesterday I spent hours reading complaints about StoresOnline. During the searches I found HubPages.com. It was "love at first sight"!! Effortlessly (yesterday), I published my acute ozone poisoning article on HubPages. This morning I edited the article and then (out of curiosity) did a Google search. My article was at the top of the Google search!! I almost couldn't believe what I was seeing!!
Glance up to the top of my blog and read the words I used to describe myself when I created my blog on November 30, 2008. I've been writing for decades.... How awesome to find a location where I can publish articles. I love HubPages.com !!!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Postscript (3/27/09): Oops!! My "hub" was quickly removed from their site because they considered it "too commercial." I don't know how to revise acute ozone poisoning without all the links.

StoresOnline - SCAM !! SCAM !! SCAM !!
The gospel truth: I was busy--yesterday evening and this morning--regarding Dotless Domain SCAM. Just moments ago (12 noon) I did a Google search for STORES ONLINE and found there are hundreds of complaints!! I was suckered for the second time in less than three months!! This expense was (thankfully) a modest $38.00. Yesterday, the presenter, Joanna Larsen, was young, beautiful and articulate. I really "bonded" with her because she came across as someone who sincerely wanted to help small business entrepreneurs succeed. Unlike my negative (over the phone) experience with Dotless Domain, this seminar was in an attractive meeting room in a Marriott Hotel. After the presentation--and most of the attendees purchased a "license"--sandwiches and cookies were served. I did some mental arithmetic: 50 attendees times $38. = $1900. The meeting room, food, "free" MP3 players, and three staff members salary would have, conceivably, exceeded the income. I didn't suspect a SCAM!! (Isn't there a saying to the effect: "We only see what we want to see"?) I'm such a gullible old woman!! ~~ From 554 listed on RipOffReport, here is one complaint about StoresOnline, and a second, and a third. Now I understand... the money is made by "selling" web sites at the second meeting. The StoresOnline expenses far exceed the $2,985. I lost to Dotless Domain. I'm heartsick for the unsuspecting victims of this fraud!! One more link and I'm finished for today. (The morning devoted to Dotless Domain, and over four hours this afternoon reading StoresOnline complaints.) Excuse me, after more research, visit Storesonline Reviews for more complaints.

From one of my readers, I'm quoting a portion of a newspaper article that mentions StoresOnline (near the end of the article). "Another company that donated to Shurtleff, Storesonline, which markets a service selling and hosting online-business Websites, has been named in two individual lawsuits and settled eight actions with various state attorneys general from California to North Carolina. It is also facing two pending actions in the United States and one in Australia. The 2007 pending case with the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission comes only a year after Storesonline settled with the country in 2006. In that agreement, the company promised to stop making false and misleading statements and agreed to refund 175 Australian consumers a total $673,478." ~~ There's more!! Read the article.
