The weatherman predicted cooler weather for next week--so I decided to make some soup. Over night, I thawed several containers of leftover homemade soups (from recent months). I blended the contents in the VitaMix so I have a very rich broth of cabbage, carrots, celery, garlic, onions, and canned tomatoes. To that yummy broth I am adding baby carrots, onions, turnips, and small red potatoes. ~~ My diet is primarily raw fruits and vegetables. However, sometimes I crave a hearty vegetable soup. As silly as it may sound, I think our body talks to us and tells us (by our craving) what we need. I won't eat it all (it's a big kettle full) so some will go back into the freezer with a May date on the label.
