It's 8:20 on a foggy morning in Asheville, NC. I'm at Panera using free WiFi--and enjoying a whole grain bagel and hazelnut coffee. Hendersonville is my next stop where I plan to visit the Carl Sandburg Home. Then--if all goes well--I hope to attend the matinee at Flat Rock Playhouse. The musical: Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. It's possible that I will drive home to Shelby afterwards but, truthfully, I'd rather continue traveling. ~~ For the sake of the blog, I need to get home--where I have the cable--and upload my pictures.
Late yesterday afternoon, I visited Billy Graham's Training Center "The Cove." I plan to return for seminars, and other events. ~~ Back at Lake Powhatan, in camp, I hitched the trailer and got everything ready for the early departure this morning.
In closing, I'll pass on new-to-me information learned this morning. When we do not have cell phone access it drains the battery because the cell phone is constantly searching for a signal. Driving the Blue Ridge Parkway this past month, I NEVER had service, repeatedly had a dead battery!! Remember I mentioned buying a new battery here in Asheville a few days ago?? It's dead!! Perhaps I didn't need a new battery after all?!?!
